Elements as the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI):
Anemo: ENFJ, ENFP
Geo: ISTJ, ISFJ
Electro: ISTP, ISFP
Dendro: INFJ, INFP
Hydro: ESTJ, ESFJ
Pyro: ESTP, ESFP
Cryo: INTJ, INTP
The 8th Element (???): ENTJ, ENTP
I really like your theories, all very well thought out. Esp, electro, thank you. That's the best theory I've heard yet! the only one that truly fits them all.
If it's not that, than I'm leaning towards it being about protection- either the protection of oneself or the protection of others. Ei wants to protect herself and her ppl, she just believed human ambition was the problem/was tricked. Razor protects his pack, kujo Sara protects herself, cyno is mahamatra for his ppl, fishl protects her dreams, tomo we don't know how or when he recieved but we know he protected everyone's ambitions, that's his heart, so he's probably done that before - maybe kuki is protecting her own ideals.. & Lisa is Lisa. XD
((sidebar myboi protects his own life))
That's beautiful. A tool. To not give up.
ОтветитьI want the updated version for this video😢❤
ОтветитьThe archon are close to vision user
Anemo characters heavily believe in freedom
Geo characters always keep their word like a verbal contract
Hydro characters care about justice
The list on
Cryo and Pyro Archon isn't out yet but we can get a good idea on what their going to be like when they come out
They said it had to be ambitious to gain a vision, it was explained
ОтветитьIt's tricky but I think that Geo Visions are granted to people who take second chances. People who see opportunity on the other side of hardship and who don't abandon old virtues, whether virtues of their own or those who came before them.
I think back to Albedo picking up his master's work, Yun Jin finding new passion for her performances, Gorou leading a resistance to reclaim lost visions, Noelle constantly failing knight exams but always being the first in line to try again, Ningguang seeing untapped potential and an entire industry in the distribution of masterless visions
i loved how you pronouce characters' names as correctly as possible!
like the tones in chinese names
or when you said Tartal'ya inslead of Tartaglia!!!
I am of the belief that whatever dictates what element you get has a lot more to do with the soverign dragons. I think visions are just elemental energy trapped and reutilised by celestia. The lore we have suggests elements are much more tied to the natural denizens of teyvat like slimes and vishaps versus celestial beings like the primordial one or archons. It would still make sense for dendro too since Apep seemed to seek knowledge of all else which is why deshret was able to trick her into consuming the forbidden knowledge.
ОтветитьCryo 🤝 Anemo
Their visions mean a depressing backstory?
Wait you looked at when they got their vision not what they have in common??
ОтветитьI think geo is finding a life purpose
ОтветитьAlhaitham - Got his Vision while reading a book about language during a research trip.
Kirara - Got her Vision alongside her humanoid form whilst waiting for her caretaker to return home in the cold. She had climbed a tree to look out for her caretaker, and in doing so.
Tighnari - Got his Vision as a result of interjecting during an academic forum, even though he was anxious to do so.
Yaoyao - She has no idea why the fuck she got one lmao, her "Vision Story" is just her pondering on why she has a Vision.
Kaveh - Got his Vision after the destruction of the first palace of Alcazarzaray, after he went home and made a dish from his childhood.
Collei - Got her Vision while keeping a child safe from beasts in the forest. The child had gone wandering off on her own, and without Tighnari there to guide her, Collei had set off on her own to resolve the issue.
Baizhu - Got his Vision when he resolved to end the contract that plagued his hometown.
Rana - Got her Vision when she resolved to travel around the world with Arana.
I have no idea what the hell this means or how the Dendrio Element connects these characters, but these are loose summaries of the characters' Vision Stories. Hope it gives something.
What I believe the perfect twist would be and my own headcanon, is that people inherently have the power to control the elements at one point or the other. However, when people are about to achieve that elemental power, Celestia intervenes and plots a bug on them, the "vision". It could be meant as a means to control the person's elemental energy and not let them get stronger beyond a certain point. Traveler not having a vision makes them uncontrollable by Celestia, hence why Baal/Ei went apeshit and said he's an exception (because traveller is out of world and not under Celestia's control). Pretty cool theory IMO.
Also explains why taking it from the person turns them mindless, so this might be Celestia's way of making sure if the bug is removed the host itself is rendered useless.
By the way, this is a straight reference to Ichigo Kurosaki's substitute soul reaper badge, which was given to him by Soul Society to spy on him and rate limit his powers LoL.
I've always thought of geo as something like "dedication" or "dedicated towards a goal/interest"
if you look at all geo they seem to not care what obstacles/issues they face they stayed in their path. They seem emotionally and spiritually hardened.
Ningguang - wanted mora so she dedicated all her life to be successful
Noelle - wanted to be a knight so she dedicate all her effort and training to be one
Albedo - wanted to know more of the truth he wants so he dedicated all his life in that research
itto - may not look special when it comes to background but base on his story he was an outcast, so he dedicated on making a gang/group for other people that seem like an outcast helping them
so on and so forth. This seems to be a common thing that I noticed from geo characters they don't yield. what they want, what they promised they'll go through with it without regrets or doubts
What you said about Anemo tracks with Wanderer as well! After he got his memories back, he received his vision after making peace with himself and deciding to pursue his own path in life, and he tends to be a loner as well.
ОтветитьI have to say, this actually makes a whole lot of sense. The circumstances of these characters gaining their visions and matching characteristics of the individuals too obvious to just be coincidences. I'm definitely gonna make a portrait with these elemental symbols with these traits like a motivation poster!
Ответитьi think if i was in this universe, i would receive an anemo vision, since independence is something i fear the most in my life. most if not all of my anxieties stem from me not being able to be independent. therefore, if i lived in teyvat, i would receive an anemo vision should i overcome my fears of independence.
ОтветитьI hope its ok but i am correcting you
Geo is given to people who want to protect the ones they love hence ningguangs noells and zhonglis shields
And dendro (not a correction) is given to people who are obsessed with fufilling their goal
There may be some characters that do not fit exactly, but here is my theory.
Anemo: decisiveness and freedom. I think most of them went through a time when they felt lost, and got their vision when they made a decision based on their desires. Jean deciding to fight for monstatd, deciding to continue his journey, etc
Cryo: conflict with love. Diona worrying about her father, Rosaria fighting hers, Kaeya arguing with Diluc, Ganyu leaving the adepti...
Pyro: passion, basically. Yeah, easy.
Geo: responsibility. Pretty much every geo character meets this. Even Itto with his gang.
Hydro: justice and morals. Yup, can't think of any hydro character that doesn't act strongly based on his morals and what justice respresents for them. For justice, right Xingqiu?
Dendro: yearning for knowledge. Curiosity deserves a reward after all.
Electro: Resolve and dedication. They want something and they will achive it.
I tought that one day rana would be a playable character but as 3.6 is in 15 days i doubt it
ОтветитьElectro visions are given to eccentric and rebellious people. People who are non conformists. People who argue with authorities because they are bad at their jobs. People who argue with rules because they are unjust
Ответитьmaybe think of it in the context of where they fit into society along with who they are as individuals.
pyro- selfish. goal oriented driven by fearless passion. Can come off as hot headed.
hydro- compassionate. Usually intelligent leaders. Soothing.
Cryo- pariahs. outcasts who yearn to belong, struggle with being accepted. can come off cold.
electro- rebels. Those who choose to go their own way, go against what is expected
but are capable of great feats in very specific critical moments. They will surprise you or be "shocking".
dendro- philosophers. Highly intelligent big picture thinkers. They are guides.
Geo - Stability. They are what binds society. Sturdy like a rock.
Anemo- they are capable of letting things go. the free spirits that look for worthy causes.
anemo and electro have a lot of overlapping. Anemo is electro, just without the rebellion. I suppose that's why Kazuha was able to trigger the electro. in that moment against the shogun he found his rebellion. Also, why the wanderer stopped being electro and became anemo when he lost his rebellion.
Such a fun and interesting video! I've been looking EVERYWHERE for one that goes in depth and detail, so I'd like to share my thoughts too.
Cryo is my favorite element and I have spent hours dissecting it.
I believe it represents Depth in Contradiction, Harmony in Difference, and so on...
Cryo characters represent inner conflict, they put on a front outside to let people see what they want to see, and not the conflicted mess within. Ice and snow are very beautiful and alluring to the unassuming, but those who do know more about it know how dangerous it is, a sign of love and purity, we all know when it snows, it's Christmas etc and that means joy. But ice also brings the withering/decay of life, a dangerous and contradicting beauty that coexists in harmony. It's beautiful, only on the surface. The Cryo characters have a lot of depth to them, and it's the same contradictions that make them so great.
I believe pyro is indeed burning passion as you say it. But the more I think about it, these burning passions burn bright, but that begs another fact. Fire eventually burns out. I think that their pursuit of passion will be short lived, and it's not limitless. They will burn in blazing glory, even for a moment, and leave their own burn mark on the world, but they will, just as fast, die out. Klee's child like innocence that allows her to make these bombs she loves so much will eventually come to an end as she matures and realizes the hazard, even if she keeps pursuing it, she will grow up no matter what. Diluc will eventually probably die or lose his ability to fight upon facing what I think would suit him, one final battle against his greatest enemy, whether that be Kaeya, the Abyss Order, or the Fatui, I don't know. But I think it's fitting that he'll burn bright in victory, right before his flame turns to ashes. Bennett can't always be lucky, to survive every misfortune. I believe the same pyro vision that recognized his ambition and drive, will eventually be the thing that leads Bennett to a final adventure.
Geo I think is hard work, diligence and perseverance. Steady as a rock, slowly over time, they turn into mountains. Their consistent diligent efforts to better themselves, or to be themselves (Itto) without letting anything stop them. They're slowly but surely building their way to their goals, little by little, maybe. But progress is progress and you don't look down on progress no matter how small it may be. As for the inner conflict sides of the characters, well, mountains cannot rise without earthquakes, that's for certain. It's only through those times where they're challenged that their ability to push through and work hard like they always have, can shine and emerge even taller.
Dendro I will go over it quick sorta? I still don't quite understand it, but in simple terms, what do plants do? Grow. And for that as my judgement as of writing this, that Dendro represents growth. And ya this is kinda weak cuz every character grows duh but I can't really find any other point. Tighnari grew as a person when he went against someone, and as a result, Tighnari is now not a person who holds back his thoughts, giving his honest opinion, being sure in himself that he will help. Collei is self growth, I believe. She used to be hostile and violent, but it was through her own acceptance and desire to break free of her trauma that eventually led her to wanting to save that child, even going against the warnings and doing what she believes is right, not only for the child but for herself. This also reflects into Nahida as a character, always kind and wise, but she no longer gets pushed around by the Akademiya, instead standing up for herself, after a long time of growth on herself, and now, these 3 characters stand tall and firm, like a tree that sprouted and grew stronger despite their conditions.
Electro is the challenging one for me. I find so many contradictions and yet bc of Ei/Makoto's duality, I feel like that was on purpose. Electro characters are outcasted in some way, and through that they face hardship in trying to stay true to themselves, wanting the path and life they choose even if it meant going against the world (dk how this applies to Razor) Lightning is a brief flash of light amidst black clouds of thunder, yet powerful and frightening, deadly even. These electro characters received their vision in times where everything felt cloudy and hopeless to them, yet they received their vision in almost a flash of light, shining hope on their ambitions and letting them pursue and shock the world with their lightning, if they wish.
Woo I'm getting sloppy don't mind me guys I haven't slept.
Hydro to me represents responsibility and the ability to stay fluid and unmoving, in spite of times when their currents and tides might rage. You can move a boulder, you can uproot a tree, but you can't stop a river from flowing even if you tried. They're skilled at what they do and take responsibility for it, using it to their ideals and beliefs, always raging on even if the skies darken and mountains crumble, you cannot move an ocean. (I'm making no sense)
Childe and his responsibility to his family. To protect childhood innocence, believing it to be his burden alone to carry. Same with Kokomi, who needs to be responsible and a great leader, and no matter what, she will press on. These characters do have their stability and unwavering spirit, but rather than the diligence and hard work of Geo characters, they have natural excellency, and with great power comes great responsibility, to use it for the right things that they believe in.
Last I think is Anemo?? Forgive me if I forget any elements like I said I am TIRED
Anemo to me represents acceptance, and freedom in self and soul. There's nothing to me at least, more truly freeing than to be able to accept your circumstances, your own self, and to be free with it. Wanderer might be literally free from his past, but that's wrong. He got his vision the moment he got his memories back, and by the time he stood up to protect someone, deciding to accept his fate. Accept that he can never be free of his past sins, but back then, he didn't accept it. He only ever denied it and provoked others who tried to make him aware. Now, he's more free than ever, accepting his sins and evil as part of him, but never will he be shackled by it. He might atone, but he accepts that as who he is and chooses his own path with it, over being shackled in anger and hatred again.
Heizou is freedom in confidence and pursuit. He is confident in his skills enough to pursue whatever he wants, it's not that he's lazy and irresponsible to his job, but rather he recognizes it as part of his life and still chooses to pursue what keeps him going, his detective work. Xiao is tricky you might think, but he is absolutely free and accepting of himself, even in the cruelest ways. He was a killer, he devoured many dreams, he deserves to be feared, alone and isolated for that. But he never denies it. Even if it brings him great pain, he accepts his past, even if it wasn't his fault, he knows the weight of it and he will continue to bear it for as long as he lives. And even after being renamed, given a new identity, purpose and life, he still accepts his past, though more so in a guilt/sinner kind of way, he accepts it and knows it as part of him, and he might let it burden him, but he lives on anyways. Acceptance of his past, but not to let them shackle him to his new life, is acceptance of self and acknowledgement, of his current freedom.
Hu Tao got her vision when she fought through the border of life and death at Wuwang Hill, to meet her grandfather when he died, she then realized he had already passed on and wasn't there
ОтветитьRazor has the most tragic vision story.
Change my mind
How do you feel about this video now after the new dendro characters an witnessing two "vision granting" moments?
ОтветитьBased off this video, I've deduced that I would probably receive no vision and be a visionless NPC.
Cryo: I don't have trouble with being accepted.
Hydro: I am more of a jack of trades than an ace
Anemo: I haven't reached the state where I can be fully independent (house prices keep soaring)
Pyro: I'm usually pretty cautious when it comes to obvious things I can't win
Electro: I'm not in a war or anything really that has to do with surrender
Geo: I have too many hobbies and not enough time
Dendro: If it has to do with longevity, I always stay up late so no.
Yep. Definitely an NPC. XD that's visionless T_T
I think geos are hard workers and electro are relentless
ОтветитьIn my observation,, hydro is about legacy, leadership, and family.
ОтветитьI’d like to think that i would get a pyro vision. I’m always very passionate about things and idk I guess if i look at the other characters it would fit me.
ОтветитьI think one of Hydro's aspect might be "Discipline in Duty"
Everyone in Hydro so far has a strong sense of duty, they'd do whatever it takes do accomplish their duties, in order to fulfil their duties they need to be excellent.
I'd say hydro users are both talented and devoted to a cause, tartaglia to snezhnaya, kokomi to watatsumi, Barbara to mondstadt, xinqiu to guhua, yelan to liyue, mona to her work, Candace to her town, ayato to the kamisato clan, and nilou to Sumeru city.
ОтветитьCryo = Irony
Pryo = Passion
Hydro = Justice
Anemo = Freedom
Dendro = Wisdom
Geo = Solidarity
Electro = Eternity
All end with O
I came to this video to try and imagine what vision I would most likely to receive. But I found that I resonate to... all of them 😭 I tried to determine which one might be more dominant than the others but yeah.
It's almost like every vision is like different parts of me while holding an ambition. So it seems like I might just go with being "The Traveler" since the traveler gets to gain every element from every nation anyway.
For me
Pyro = Ambitious, passionate people who matching to reality but decided to achieve something else.
Cryo = People who don't match their environment, they have "something" different in themself.
Dendro = Seeking knowledge and improving themself.
Anemo = Want to "run away" from something, not exactly physically, want to be free on their decision.
Geo = Exchange something for something.
Electro = Want to live in a moment or stop a moment (not exactly be free)
Of course don't treat it stricter, more philosophically. ;)
Cryo… I rather not say why.
ОтветитьYeah I think this is right for all of them though I thought geo would be for wisdom since everyone learns how to make there own goals in the best way possible but yeah this definitely fits self interest.
Ответитьdiluc in the thumbnail built like a vocaloid
ОтветитьSo...what element should fit the concept of "You know what? With or without those who left my love unrequited, I won't fall apart. I've had enough of this pity towards myself. I'll just pursue my goal of becoming a researcher. I'll show everyone how smart I am!"?
I'm not certain if it's Cryo or Anemo, and could use some insight from others.
if it happened in real life i feel like i'll get mine once i pass in college thesis and i'll get pyro hehe
ОтветитьPerseverance seems very electro and I would prolly be electro considering regardless of what’s put in front of my i preserver through it :) this has been the most solid theories I’ve heard of visions so far. You came to a different conclusion than I did about cryo which was love and loss but yours does make a lot more sense
ОтветитьMe watching the whole video after taking multiple personality tests that all share the theory that the Vision you receive is because you correlate with the other concepts that matches the elements’ archons (eg. Anemo = wanting freedom, Dendro = being wise, etc.): O-O
With those quizzes, I’ve gotten every single element at least 5 times. But with your theory, I could use the process of elimination and say I could be hydro (academic excellence and willing to stay that way), Anemo (natural independence and finding it way easier to work on most things alone), or pyro (I have a passion for quite a few things).
Anemo: Experiencing grief but, like the winds, changing direction and working towards a brighter future.
Geo: Taking up the role of their rolemodel and having an epiphany in that role
Electro: Being different than your associates
Dendro: Use knowledge, not for your sake, but for the sake of others (Only have 3 stories to base it off though, Collei-Tighnari-Rana)
Hydro: Having a strong desire to protect, while disregarding personal needs
Pyro: Have a wish/dream and have it go to a point where most would give up, yet still not give up on it
Cryo: Being torn between two sides but eventually choosing one of them (and thus being contradictory to the other wish/side)
An interesting thing that was pointed out to me by a friend is all the hydro characters uphold an institution, which makes sense seeing as the hydro archon is the archon of justice.
ОтветитьA lot of these overlap.
ОтветитьI would have Anemo vision 100% tho I love Geo.
ОтветитьI feel that the ambitions of users tend to share common ground with that of the archon's ideals.
Seeing as visions are a manifestation of ambition i like to believe that rather than duality, cryo users are granted their vision as a manifestation of their rebellion against certain ideals. Diona despises alcohol but understands why people drink it and so as an act of rebellion she works in the alcohol industry to drive off customers, albeit not very well. Same with chongyun not being the best person to be an exorcist due to his yang energy but ignoring it and pursuing exorcism regardless. I think this could be the ideal of the tsaritsa too, breaking from the chains of society by rebellion.
I feel hydro is more of an ambition of justice by every means. Seeing how yelan seeks to ensure no one else is hurt because of her and so she strives to be able to solve every problem by herself, hence endagering no one else.
Dendro on the otherhand i feel is the wisdom of the user being realised in their work making their ambition realised at the same time. For tighnari he realised the wisest path to utilise his strengths is not behind the walls of the akademiya but tather in the wild actively helping others.
Anemo then would be the freedom realised in the ambition to accept change within the user.
Electro being the unchanging, eternal drive to excel in ones work. beidou refusing to back down even fighting a leviathan showing her unchanging ambition to grow stronger.
Geo is the element of contracts, likewise its users seem to share an ambition that fortifies their ideals by making 'contracts' with themselves to never deviate from it. Yunjin choosing to write opera in her own way and noelle choosing to constantly train to be a knight of favonius despite failing multiple times.
Pyro definately seems to just be a burning passion or in other words, strong ambition.
so in conclusion electro vision holders are stubborn and uncompromising.... like the electro archon.
