Just completed Farcry 5 with 15 fps 720p lowest.

So if you play those games at 720p will you get more fps? For example like 10 more fps

im running gta on uhd 620 and getting upward of 30 fps, i also only have 1.6ghz

It's kinda amazing what you can put together and actually game on these days. I put together for curiosities sake, a complete build on PCpartpicker around this chip, including a cheap display, keyboard mouse combo kit, and cheap gaming headset. Under $500 before shipping and US taxes.

So you can’t figure out why your textures won’t load, yet you only have 1/2 of your cpu connectors plugged in?? Maybe this is the issue mate did you try again with all your wired plugged in?

With an AMD APU, you're usually sacrificing something, like some cache, number of PCIE lanes, or PCIE version.
With Intel, there is just the with IGP model, or the usually cheaper without IGP F model

Despite the low clockspeed this igpu is very good TR 2013 averages 55 fps on the 4000 ryzen apus.

The i5 12500 has the UHD 770 graphics onboard which is a bit of improvement from the UHD 730 graphics. With graphics card pricing going down an APU seems to make no sense unless you just want a system up and running now to upgrade to a GPU in a few months time.

Honestly never realised how good an apu good be. When you consider those little mini pcs sell with celerons installed for couple hundred pounds and cannot play any games this combo makes great value! What about building a pc for say media light gaming in small case? Thanks for for reviewing Mike and Kath👍

For a couple of days after selling my gpu and waiting for a new one to arrive I used the igpu on my 12500. I honestly didn't notice much difference. I don't know if that speaks to how good the igpu is or how old the game I was playing is.

I found some of the modern 2d scrollers or isometric games very playable on apus. I played Deaths Door to completion on my 3400g.

Not a bad performer this one, did fine on Wreckfest :-) Got to manage expectations, nobody is going to get the same performance as a dedicated GPU but have to say im a bit impressed with this. Cheers Mike and Kath :-)

Yes we all remember the OG Intel iGPU being worse than bottom of the barrel and only useable for those utilising quicksync or pc troubleshooting. They’ve made some strides and it’s good to see some actual basic gaming (good for the young kiddies out there) as shown. The good thing is you can get a number of free to play games, very cheap titles and other games given free now and again by epic to get you going 🥰👍😇. I’ve personally got all the freebies when they have them (except one weird indie based game - missed it due to life being hectic 😂😝) and accumulated 150+ games on epic as a result. Many of these I let my young nephews browse now and again when they visit.
