Risk of Rain 2 - Void Infestor in a nutshell. (SoTV DLC)

Funny thing is for all my clocked gameplay, I've never seen this happen to the turrets.

I had a god run ended by a void infestor after it took over my squid turret.

A squid turret killed me.

Im still salty to this day

Void infestors are pretty much just better headcrabs 🗿

i had gotten two goobo jr clones of me infested one time. the run was so over.

I had this one run- just this one run, it was randomized. The fucking gunner sentries were void infestors, so by stage 1-29 I bought all of them, that only got me 9 void infestors that were allied to me.

So it can control turret… fuck

I did not know they could do that.

I got shot by Goboo once because of that. 'Nuff said.

Before they "fixed" this. My favourite death message was

"Killed by a healing drone"

Thank God this got patched (somewhat), still causes me to scrap Squid Turrets at the first possible opportunity cause of this very issue.

The infestors can also corrupt your queens gland beetle guards and make them fight you

They’re not threatening themselves but they are very annoying. They’re very slippery and if you don’t kill them they make other enemies harder to kill

Wait they used to be able to infest turrets and drones?! WHY?!!!!

I remember one time as Captain my Goobo got corrupted and shot me point blank for 500+ dmg, good times, love the game

so it's a good thing they can't take mechanical allies now

The investors look like if beetles evolved in the void

Don't worry, one corrupted my healing drone, then the other corrupted my prototype drone. Yeah... I died pretty quickly after that happened

I played with a friend for the first time a few days ago, no one told me about this and I was swiftly murdered by my own damn turret

I just want the first part where is gun is slowly charging, while that bug is regretting life (I forgor what they were called)

Sorry to be that guy. but the actual very official name for the "void infestor" is evil bug butt plug.

This got patched out, so you Engie players can stop crying about it.
Also the Healing Drone suddenly turning into a harmacist was far funnier.

Its all fun and games till the healing drone gets voidtouched

I had a Void Infestor take over my Goobbo Bandit clone. Straight up killed my friend and me.

The best part of playing railgunner? Oneshotting a void infested mob and then airshotting the stupid fucking infestor fuck you i hate you i hate you i hate you dumb bug

Got the item that spawn the constructs on elite kills
1 got infected
The other killed it
Construct appears
Gets infected by the same bug again
This went on the entire srage

Unrealistic. The void infestor would have blocked that shot.
(This can't just happen to me, right?)

That beetle is the cutest goddamn thing I have ever seen, ever. The three X's when it died were fucking hilarious.

An update made it so drones and turrets are no longer affected by void infestors, so no more of this!

just a quick tip for everyone who sees this squid polyp is now super low tier even lower tham bungus since void infestors jump into them and they spawn when you interact so yea stay safe everyone

tangentially related but mithrix stole the drone red item off a friend and it proceeded to gun us down on his last phase, ending the run right there
