I don't know how accurate these video game collection valuations really are. For starters there's no way he would be able to offload this entire collection at once to a single buyer for that amount. Most likely he would have to sell it piece by piece over a very long time, and than alone would devalue the "worth" of it considerably as he would be breaking up the set so to speak and have to factor in shipping costs etc. for each individual sale, not to mention the absurd amounts of time spent doing all that. And video game collectors on this level is an absolute niche, so there's also not a very high demand for this to begin with. If anything, a fellow collector would perhaps buy a handful of games from this guy to round out their own collection. No person would buy an entire collection, that's defeating the purpose of building up your own collection.
