By vacuming dry bed rock, your accualy removing sedament , that could make it's way into the water ways,,, so I don't know why they would be any thing but , oh ok go for it,, just don't dump the wash off into the river 🤔👍

I think your wife is onto something that might be an old tributary where she was looking up you should vacuum those cracks.. that could be where the snow and water comes from the mountains running out there and all the gold comes through there. You never known to vacuum it or try it right now it’s dry so go for it.

I've never used a vaccum because it is mechanical. Seeing as you aren't allowed anything mechanical other than a pump I would think thats illegal.

How come all the world's largest gold nuggets come from Australia and Brazil with a couple thrown in from California?


Canada has always produced a fair amount of gold, but like South Africa and Russia seems to be less "Nuggety" The other countries seem to have multiple 50+lb and even several even 150lb+ nuggets (Hopefully you find Canadas first!) Where as Canada's largest is like 5.5lbs even Alaska has a 20 pounder.

The one thing I notice is the areas lacking in nuggets seems to be glaciated areas is it as simple as that most gold bearing layers have weathered out and any big nuggets got ground up? That would explain why Alaska, Russia and Western Canada is different from California.

Maybe it's easier to ask why Australia and Victoria in particular seem to be so Nugget-if-erous

I'm looking to get into gold finding in alberta like edmonton area. I don't plan on getting rich I just wanna find enough for a set of gold teeth and eventually a 26 inch chain. Where can I go to find out where I can pan for gold?
