"Uncle how can we let this happen? How can they TAKE every Sci-Fi film and give it to that Duke?"
"Mickey is a jealous mouse, a dangerous jealous mouse."
I really wish to see more of Dave Bautista in Dune Part 2, he was so great here and in Blade Runner 2049. I feel like Denis Villeneuve is a director who really knows how to use Bautista.
ОтветитьThe creepy thing is Jimmy Saville is much more menacing than this lot even this lot would be terrified
ОтветитьNow this is how you introduce a villain.
ОтветитьThe 2021 Baron doesn't seem scary to me, he seems constipated.
ОтветитьAmazing performance
ОтветитьBautista is a great actor. WAY better than the Rock
ОтветитьThis scene is so different from the books but I actually think it is a good change. Instead of the timid Feyd-Rautha allowing Piter and the Baron to exposit for the entire conversation, Rabban yells and throws a fit and allows the Baron to instead be the cruel and draconian ruler that he’s meant to be by simply and seriously quieting those under him
ОтветитьBatista is a hell of an actor now. Came along way since The triple H days. I remember he dropped the chair on shawn michaels. It was heartbreaking
ОтветитьMan... I have to confess, Batista as a fighter was the best, but he as an actor today is beyond the best... Speechless...
Ответить"When is a gift not a gift?"
I love that riddle, when its a trap
I just wish Brad Dourif was in this version also.
ОтветитьI would say overall this movie is not as good as Blade Runner, but seems like this do this movie justice
ОтветитьI remember that, back in the 70s, when Jodorowsky wanted to adapt the novel, he hired H.R. Giger to design every aspect related to the Harkonnens. And watching this scene, it seems part of Giger's style was used eventually.
ОтветитьHaving the Baron refer to someone as a "dangerous man" beautifully establishes the Emperor power without a single frame dedicated to him
Ответитьbloody hell I love this scene so much. Everything seems on point and perfect. Bravo Dune
ОтветитьNah. Piter was downplayed in this movie. In the novel the character is more sadistic and twisted and defiant. In this movie Piter is calmer, softer, more submissive and seems to be very afraid of the Baron. a negative point to the adaptation.
ОтветитьYou're an errand boy sent by grocery clerks to collect a bill.
Ответитьawful art direction the droning sound track, grey palette. Zero imagination, in contrast to the fabulous genuine strangeness of the original. The minimal look of the interiors just says what's cool now in rich peoples' homes, that aesthetic which I think will age very badly. This director for me is more car commercials not real films.
Ответить"the atreides voice is rising" I did not know there was a class of voice called atreides, nice language and concepto from these harknn
ОтветитьEveryone's favorite floating fat man :)
ОтветитьBatista in -
WWE - Evolution's Animal
Dune - House Harkonnen's Animal
Who resurrected Marlon Brando?
ОтветитьOne of the greatest villans of all time
,,My Arrakis, My Dune"
I do you one better. Why is the Atreides?
ОтветитьI love that in the first part, the emperor is spoken about but never shown, kind of like star wars. It establishes his presence as a kind of shadow over the universe that everyone is aware of long before we as the audience get to actually meet the character.
ОтветитьI love the gothic, industrial look to the Harkonnens and their planet. Totally metal 🤘
ОтветитьLiteral chills Batista killed it
ОтветитьDave Bautista has to be kratos because he be perfect for the role and he fits every part of Kratos
ОтветитьEveryone there looks like genetically engineered Steve Ballmer
ОтветитьSomething I have not seen anyone mention about this scene is that it definitely seems like a direct reference to apocalypse now the first time you see Marlon brando in the movie he is shrouded just like baron and they both do the exact same head rub thing
Ответить"Uncle, I'm acting."
ОтветитьSay what you want about the Baron, even in his downtime he still entertains meetings instead of telling them to come back Tuesday next week.
ОтветитьGreat fucking scene, great acting, great sets, everything is so MENACING.
ОтветитьFuck, I can't wait to this movie to run on the movies again! I will not WATCH this for the second time on my pc or tv at home
ОтветитьDave Bautista was really convincing as Rabban!
ОтветитьI like how this scene really shows how dave batista is really coming along as an actor. You really feel them giving up aracus bugs the shit out of Rabbon because he doesn't know the full plan. He tries to be respectful and you can see he is hoping the baron will explain but he doesn't and just dismisses him. He tries to just walk away but at the last second he just cant and then goes into his lines. I think it really shows dave is a great actor that he is able to pull all those emotions out in this scene.
ОтветитьThe guitar riffs in this movie.....so.....damn....good
ОтветитьThis is a different soundtrack like where can I find a soundtrack like this?
ОтветитьIs this some homage to colonel from Apocalypse Now?
ОтветитьI just want the meme of guy slap a kid saying "This is how you make a threatning villian David Lynch"
ОтветитьTo prepare for the role Stellan Skarsgård had to gain a lot of weight.
ОтветитьDid you jump out of your skin when the beast screams in this scene? Yeah me too
ОтветитьSo they give them their own territory and objects so they can take them by force? Is that why being ordered to give their stuff up is "a gift"?
ОтветитьOuch...that was less then subtle acting by Bautista. Loved him in Blade Runner but here, dunno, maybe its the character he played or they took the first take but his outburst was so unnatural and so badly acted, hope this was just a little blunder because , after all, he, in opposition to The Rock, can act.
ОтветитьBautista is the bo$$
Ответить
