I blame this channel for me jumping into the apple ipod scene, it only took like a couple of days and now ... now i rock a gen 4 ipod touch with 8gb of memory, and the discovery that the microsoft app store thing for itunes is the jankiest piece of garbage.(if you want itunes get it from apple themselves they have a good version for windows.)

Have you considered a decent quality converter & headphones amplifier? Most of the quality is the analogue bits, and the onboard converters on phones are basically trash.
