Nintendo Switch LCD and Digitizer Replacement

Hi, I just wanted to ask something. See if a switch starts having phantom touches after updating the system, would that be the digitizer causing that or would the update have been responsible? I'd really appreciate it if you can responnd to my comment.

So beside the water or factory defective...If you press it hard , will it damage as well? Like when you press on LCD computer monitor, there is always a black mark that shown and as soon as you release it ..The mark disappeared ... What happened was when I installed the screen protector, I didn't know the screen was plastic and I presses hard to make the bubbles away from the screen protector ...Will I damage it?

Whenever you get a tiny line through the screen like that, it's never the cable or the connector. If the connector was faulty then you'd see alot more than just a single line across the screen.

Thank you for detailed video, I've ordered digitizer for my switch and planning to replace it when it comes, do you have a recommendation regarding how hot the heat gun should be? I mean the temperature which you can safely heat your switch and not damage the lcd behind it. Hundred and twenty seems too hot for me, what about hair dryer? Could you suggest the best way to peel the digitizer if I ever use hair dryer. Thanks

Hello, quick question, how can I just remove the digitizer? Some dust was inside my switches screen and I just wanted to lift it up a bit to remove it from the inside. I wouldn’t have to unscrew anything right? Just heat it up and lift it?

a huge thank you for this, every video I had seen previously made it seem like the LCD was not adhered to the digitizer, and this deterred me from attempting any screen-related jobs due to concerns with dust. however, shortly after watching this, I successfully removed a nice JDI LCD that I can now swap into my personal unit :)

I don't have a heat gun, what is an alternative to that?

So what's the trick to remove the digitiser only? Do the mb screws hold the LCD in place??

Hi Bob I replaced the screen on my nintendo switch I feel like everything went smooth however I do not have power now.. so I thought i may have been too rough on the battery getting it out, so I replaced it and I still have no power and it will not take a charge .how can I troubleshoot this situation with ohm meter or any other way?
