Hi. Does anyone know why CloudBerry is stating "Total file size: 37.06GB" when the folder I'm backing up is like 250GB?

Thank you for this. There's a post in here for restoring problems (error on process some files). Make sure to make /storage read/write (it is read-only by default). You can change this in the container's settings (don't forget to toggle to the Advanced View). Have the same problem and see the solution in Unraid forums. I hope it helps. I tested it and it restored my encrypted files from Backblaze :D

Great tutorial - made it very simple. I was a bit annoyed to find that there's a license fee (and yes, please disclose up front!) but after looking at how much better it seems to be than duplicati and the long-term benefits of a reliable backup tool it seems worth it. There is also a 14 day trial as well as a personal license option which may be relevant to some people.

The concept of making separate buckets for each directory or backup is an excellent idea. Thank you!

are files, mirrored to Backblaze? So if I was to backup without encryption and then browse a folder, the folder structure will be the same?

Hey bro, i've been waiting from YOU to start doing unraid videos, THANK YOU SO MUCH, i found the home gadget community when you guys interviewed Jon Ponozza from unriad. Please continue to do more unraid content, i love you perspective and will appreciate more focus on affordable smart home, home assistant content as spaceinvader does not cover that topic. Thanks so much for your time and effort, keep safe,
regards,
Shane from Trinidad (shinta0saint)

Thanks for the video. Very clear but unfortunately doesn't solve my problem as I've been able to do backups.
Been tearing my hair out with with failed restores for the past few days. Author of the docker is no help.
Probably doing something stupid

I've done encrypted and unencrypted backups but the restore always fails with the message "Error on process some files."
Seems to back up fine. I can got onto Backblaze with my browser and it looks like the files are in the bucket. If I do an unencrpted backup of a picture or tv show, I can download it in the browser and open it.

Created a new, empty share for restores to try to eliminate that as a variable.

NFS security settings
share name: restore test
Export: Yes

Security: Public

SMB security settings

share name: restore test
Export: Yes
Case-sensitive names: Auto
Security: Public

Would greatly appreciate and help on what I'm doing wrong.
Thanks.

I too use B2 as a remote backup for my unraid shares, but didn't know of cloudberry (I just used a script and rclone to sync all shares starting with a given string "offsite" )

Will certainly give cloudberry a try ...as for their encryption that makes me a little nervous (is it possible to do a recovery without cloudberry ? is the encryption and compression algorith they use open? so that , if needed we could write a program to recover files without them?)

Why cloudberry over Duplicati?

Nice video. I use B2 with Hybrid Backup and Sync on my QNAP, but the B2 end of things is very similar.

One suggestion: Maybe you cover this somewhere else I did not see, but I suggest you mention that B2 is billed on both the storage you use and the number of transactions you use. Thus it costs you to download data, not just store data. If you go into Caps & Alerts on your B2 account you can set things appropriately. If you neglect to to this, as I did initially, you may find yourself with a bigger bill than you expected. Much larger storage, unexpected downloads (it was for deduplication in my case, which I ended up turning off), or whatever. If you only expect to use B2 for storing backed-up files you can set the download limit low so you get an alert if something unexpected starts happening. It will limit itself before you get the monthly bill. Same with storage. If you plan to only store 400GB you can set the daily storage limit to, say, 440GB and you won't accidently try to store 1TB without you knowing about it.

So why backblaze B2? Doesn't personal backblaze offer unlimited? what's the difference?

Started the upload using your tutorial. Instructions were on point just like the last one.

Some notes:
- When initially activating the key, it says "activate commercial license" but I have a personal key. You can enter your personal key in the commercial license section and it activates just fine.
- Make note, you can not change your upload speed once you start the initial upload.
- Cloudberry is showing 158GB of data to upload, but my folder contains ~500GB of data. I don't think the compression is that good, but we'll see.
- I also used the calculator on Backblaze's site for estimating the cost to me.

Ok seriously? Why are you so on point with videos that are next on my todo list? Guess I'll be following this tutorial :-)

Why'd you choose this over Rclone? Also, if you sign up for msp360 affiliate, I'll make sure to click through your link to get cloudberry.
