BEGINNER Javascript Practice - Iteration & Strings - Filtering out characters from a string

You almost lost me when counting each and every vowel in the sentence, due to both - for even counting them from the first place, AND not including U.
Time is too precious.
BUT...
Nevertheless...

what does the -1 do?

broooo i was having an hard time with a code challenge here, i found this video and your logic help me a lot, its not the same code neither the same problem but the "newstring +=" was what i needed. Thank you so much
