I'm glad to see it's not just me. I bought Avada several years ago and could never quite get it to do what I wanted, and ended up never using it. Thank you for the review and the clarification.

I agree in most of the things you've said. But there are some cases when I still think is one oh the best options.
When you need to imitate or replicate an existing website or paper design.
For some reason you can get very very close using all the avada options without the need of css etc. With Divi and elementor You always hit a wall with a small detail and you need a workaround.

It's a single use license, which might explain why it has that Install / purchase ratio. Many creators worry Avada will remotely disable websites if usage exceeds the license. Though I have it installed on 3 old sites and no emails from avada just yet ;)

I’ve used Avada for many years and it’s definitely improved over the past several years but there is a huge learning curve, but once you get it down it makes building sites a breeze. My frustration is they keep increasing the price and they have no license options for Web Developers or Agencies so it can get expensive in the long run.

It's almost like you've used something new professionally for the first time and decided it's not like what you already use professionally but can't be bothered to learn it! There are a number of huge errors and blatant false statements in this video … (your padding comment alone sums up your lack of competence to review this product) I seriously hope no-one listens to your awful advice!

I loved it before but after all the changes they made they basically made it like a maze, I don't like that much. I think it's so frustrating and if you need to add one more page or change something, it takes longer than it should. Which theme would you rank number one, flatsome or elementor?

I had to used it about 2 years ago because my boss at the time gave his innept recommendation to the company to use AVADA. Thank God He is not my boss anymore, I am not in a company with innept bosses that recommend AVADA.

avada theme is good but page builder is not a good elementor.

I like that is very fast against other builders. So many options, but since I am a developer and I wanted a builder to create quick sites (for applications, custom server functions I would program from scratch) all these options helps to customize almost everything. I'm still testing it.

avada builder is hard to use... and i don't understand it's position on themeforest, and the number of sales.... only one thing comes in my mind... they are product of Envato itself? And being promoted by Envato?

Wish I had seen your video 3 weeks ago before I chose Avada 😞 Been spending the past 3 weeks of my life, 10-14 hours a day building a shop. And yes you are absolutely correct in your review. I wouldn't recommend it either. A webshop shouldn't take 3 weeks!!! to set up, it should be done in less than a week. Avada is just waaay too clunky and counter-intuitive. Your review was 100% on the spot!

Comparison with Divi helped me understand your review. I would not be using Avada if it were not for a client who uses it.

Hi Darrel! Thank you for sharing this review. I thought it was just me, because I am definitely a self-taught beginner and don't build websites for a living. But, this pretty much explains why I got stuck several months ago after purchasing two Avada themes for two different business websites. I formerly used Wix and found their builder to be pretty simple. After becoming stuck and overwhelmed a few months ago, I literally have not wanted to return to complete my websites using Avada. It's been a very frustrating experience and I feel like I would have completed both websites if I used a more user-friendly product. I purchased the Avada theme and the support package, but I really want to get a refund. After listening to your review, I may contact them to see if I can do that. Thanks again!

You rated it a solid 2.5/5? o.o You left out a lot... It comes with LayerSlider and even Slider Revolution to make up for Avada slider, which would be three sliders to choose from. Avada is clearly at least a 4.5/5 when it comes to building out a final product meaning after you know how to use it, even a 5/5 being able to build pretty much "anything" you want with the right training. I mean, it doesn't do everything out of the box, so maybe we'll leave it at a 4.5/5, but probably the biggest challenge with Avada is that it is so robust the learning curve can be like opening Photoshop for the first time... Even then, it's still pretty amazing, even at the current price point for what you get. I do agree that the backend makes you wonder why it's built that way (slider for example, but I would guess they stopped developing the slider because they included LayerSlider and SliderRevolution which are incredible sliders). The backend was built initially which is how the entire builder was built at the beginning, and they left it the way it was, and then add things like LIVE builder on top of that, so now you have back end options and front end options. I find both to be useful at times. Compare this to Elementor with basically only a front end live builder option. Also, it comes with branding white label options which are a game changer for agencies and freelancers. You are able to customize the backend to any brand you want looking like a custom built up front. You are also able to choose from Child theme or Parent theme if you want when installing. With the off canvas builder, form builder and performance analyzer, it's a huge game changer as well. It's not perfect, but prioritizes needs based on theoretical demand.

Also, comparing Avada to how many installs/sales is irrelevant because you currently can only use one license per website. If it wasn't like this, there would be 10x times the installs. Before it was switched to one license per website, I was using it on many websites.

you forgot how heavy it is...

2024 - I bought avada and it looks the same, literally zero updates since 2022, avada is the worst builder I have ever tried, dont buy it, lot of bugs, back-end is freezing constantly even on empty wordpress.
