What size nails do you use for temporary holding of the planking and decking during the glue process? I am having difficulty being able to push any size of my tiny nails through the wood.

Nice trick for curving the planking. I used to wet the wood, but this looks easier.

I have 2 more questions:
1) What type/brand of glue do you use? I see references to PVA but there are so many. I use Elmer's Wood Glue but it is too thick.
2) What is the tool you use to scrape away excess glue squeeze out?

Is there any good book about planking ??

Nice. The Amati kits look great. I'll have to get one because I see the bulkheads look heavy to add the planking, compared to some. The ship I'm starting now has plywood and sometimes separates when sanding.

The purist would cork (caulk?) all those seems 😉

why do you use so many nails ? they even seem to split the tiny planks ..
