But I want to go one step further - translate my captions into another language(s), i.e to and from Italian and English.

In the corrections where you have the opportunity to correct the captions and punctuate etc I was wondering about cutting the caption, copy it into Google translate and then paste the translated text back into the caption edit box ????? Any thoughts ?????

Alternatively do you know of a tool that can do that automatically?

problem is, i don't have this "duplicate and edit" option. I only have the Add button under Subtitles and it won't make automatic subtitles for me

When I go to subtitles, there is no dropdown menu under languages. I did select my language as English (United States). Is there another step that I missed?

Does this work for exported videos? IE videos exported from external sources.

This is easy to follow, but I can't get sound to play when I'm trying to check to see if the captions are in line with the audio. I have checked all my sound settings, nothing is on mute. I don't know how to fix this.

Do these captions only show if the viewer clicks on captions? Is there a way to make the captions show without the user having to click CC?

Are these options only available when working from a desktop or laptop computer? I don't get these options when working from my cell phone.
