Jerry Kramer would have made a fabulous Television Analyst. How refreshing he would be in a box filled with Tony Romos!! I love his first hand account of playing under the greatest coach in the history of sports. VINCENT THOMAS LOMBARDI HAS TO BE THE MOST SINGULARLY UNIQUE INDIVIDUAL EVER TO INHABIT THIS EARTH. Former Packer and Marine Gary Knafelc said that Marine Corp Bootcamps "Were Picnics," next to Lombardis regimen. "We all said this guy is crazy," Knafelc stated. It is a proven fact that Lombardi could take the worst Football Team imaginable and win with it. IMMEDIATELY!! If you look at the coaching Regimes of legends Chuck Noll, Tom Landry, Bill Walsh and countless others, they all lost badly at first. In a months time, Lombardi could take a country shack and turn it into the Taj Mahal! His gift for shattering a losing mindset is expressed in such an amusing manner by Kramer. It was anything but funny to the Packer players. Or anyone that had to play them. Vince Lombardi was a coach like no other.

Pretty good story but getting two extra days of two-a-days doesn't make sense. The dorms weren't open because camp hadn't started?

Players today are pissed off if they are making 23 million at the end of the rookie deal a year and the team offers them 45 million but some other guy is getting 50 so they don't play hurt etc and ask for a trade.

We live in a different time and place. Jerry Kramer tells a truthful story of his life as a Packer. I just wonder if players today could deal with a coach like Vince Lombardi? 👍

"Lombardi". The name speaks of hard hitting duels in the cold months of December.

Most of the great coaches of all time are SOBs. That is a fact. Current example: Bill Bellichik.

He sold one of his Super Bowl rings for $125,000 to pay for his grand childrens college costs.  When asked why, he said, "It's in the record books. I don't need it."
