"Legacy Mode" in mac only work on CD /DVD drives exept the MacBook air. try to Boot a grub rescue disk and that Boot Form there the Android or reprogramm a grub EFI bootloader. a small hint take the bootloader Form the "Schweizer Lernstick" (in German) and change the settings so its searching the remix SSD over the Name or ID.

LiveCD on Linux env is DIFFERENT, man. With LiveCD, you rely on their hardwares. If the hardware or EFI setting is not a good fit, you get a blank screen or impaired load of hardware while booting up a Linux distro. Ubuntu 16.04 seems providing good support to a wide of hardware and x86 pc.

how would i go about installing this as the default OS on a macbook?

I tried making a $50 Android ARM TV HDMI box behave like a desktop, but it had a few failings:
1) Android cut and paste is horrendous
2) Chrome sends out Android vibes to the websites, so you always get idiot versions of the sites
3) Couldn't adjust browser font sizes low enough
4) File manager was still hideous

Otherwise, Android is remarkably close to destroying the Windows market, but doesn't seem to want to make the move. There are a lot of poor people who would like a $50 desktop, but they aren't delivering.

If legacy mode is not supported you can also use virtual box to install Remix OS, so you can have Remix OS within Windows

I download Remix OS for PC on my laptop 3 times and I can't open the Torrent file. Is Not works. I'm using Windows 10 , is for open with another app but what app? I think that is better using NOX app for pc, is less complicate . NOX is easy to use on cp.
