The Mac Pro Apple SHOULD Be Selling!

Heading to Las Vegas on Sunday evening to film the first episode of what will hopefully be an anchor series on the channel. I built a r5 1600 af, 8gb vega 56, 2x8 3200 mhz, 700 w psu and 2tb hdd + 500gb sata ssd with a lian li 205 for a little over 500

The merit is gathering components that match each other (compatible CPU for motherboard, RAM of the right frequency, etc.) rather than plugging them toghether.

You guys remind me of the 50's hotrodders that couldn't afford Birds or Vettes but they could soup up their 5 window coup and blow the doors off of that Vette. Problem is it still wasn't a Vette.

When you realize you need a Mac to make a hackintosh...

Everyone keeps talking about Hackintosh haters but I've never come across one on the internet. I'm the biggest Apple fanboy I know and damn if I could get their product cheaper by doing it myself hell yeah I'd do it. I assume that's how most people feel, too.

When you build Hackintosh, doesn’t the videocard need to support Metal if MacOS should work? And how do you buy such a card? Nothing available in ordinary stores.

Just put this together, as a pandemic project. Works great! Quicker than my mini and older MBP.
Had a little trouble getting the 2020-002 update in, but once I removed the WiFi dongle it installed. TY!

I am really download Mac OS High Sierra off of a windows computer right now. Apple is giving away a digital downloads of Mac OS. It is funny for a company that sells stylus for $100 dollars

the motherboard for this build is no longer available, will the 570 work instead? also once built can you run bootcamp in order to run windows 10 Pro? I assume you can but wasn't sure if you had tried this

Love your hackintosh videos. THEIR AWESOME. You really create a broad spectrum of exposure to what can be done. Having grown up on Mac all the way back to 512ke (my first machine) other than my C64 with all those cool color games, our core Mac group oft wondered when the dam was gonna finally bust open on hackintosh. Looks like it finally has especially with your ryzen rainbow and this machine.

The question every Mac megqnerd has been asking since the ummmm core 2 duo maybe...why didn't apple just break open theflood gates, write Rock solid drivers for say gigabyte and MSI motherboards and make them ALL MACINTOSH not hackintosh. Who knows, if jobs had lived, he prolly woulda had ENUF vision to FULLY partnermwith Nvidia and we'd be seeing gaming on a PC running OSX or Windows like not even being a choice, both just as powerful and CHEAP.

Then all the world would have to do is choose between OSX stability or Windows CONTINUED public beta testing and a billion plus exploits growing 10,000 a week, it's registry BS and APPLICATIONS you STILL cannot just uninstall by dragging to trash, etc etc. I own 3, I speak from experience.

If apple had frickin WOKE UP and played this different could we have seen the world finally given a choice where OSX runs same, games the same apps on same CHEAP hardware same BLINDIN SPEED..

Hell maybe that's a topic for another video, Android finally killed windows phone dead thank God. Could osx have done same to windows by say 2030 with someone with vision at the helm. I feel like this is the PEPSI CEO scenario all over again. Remember those REALLY expensive KLUGEY TOTALLY nonstandard SLOW machines, OS 9 with no clear destination, dead end CPU architectures. Feels like it's happening again.

started buying components to do this build. I just noticed your parts list differs on the memory vs what's shown in this video. Parts list memory speed was 2666 and the video just stated 3200. The video with your mom also shows 2666

Am I doing something wrong snazzy labs? I have a nearly identical build except with an rx580 GPU and the i7 9700k overclocked to 5ghz also. My scores were way less then yours. I got 5500 single core and 12,000 multi core.

Ok all nice and good, but tell us about som real usage. Was there any time any issues with updates and other stuff not working? I'm dependable on Mac and I NEED machine that works 100% of time and mostly every update needs to work, because as sowftware developer I need to be able to reproduce and fix things if any user uses new updates.
New Mac Pro is just too expensive for me, so the only option for me is to stay on MBP or buy/build hackintosh and live with it. Air-drop I do not need, but I need the rest working flawlessly, specially updates, backups and other stuff.

A few months ago, I found some guy on the internet that was selling a few RX 480 4gb...for 100CAD$ (around 76$US)...turns out, it's an 8gb model!!!

Snazzy, I love your vids and they have helped me. I would pay extra to get 56L of case off my desk and wrap my monitor in machined aluminum and glass, but maybe that's me. If you ever want to build a hackintosh in a S4M, lemme know, I would love to send you one. Peace :)

Fyi for Australia 1400 usd is around the 2500 to 3000 AUD dollar mark for these parts in Australia also if your want thunderbolt 3 you need to buy the titan thunderbolt 3 card additionally

This one is really great . you should have built a Mini ITx build with H110i or other which do have Wifi/Bluetooth and throw some AMD rx 5xx there.
It looks cool and comes up with all good support for 5k display that would draw over key benifit of this build (HEATING) .

Mate, after this I have idea of building a hackintosh setup with Minimal and really old hardware. (INTEL core2DUo with 4gb ram )from my old PC . Can you help me with that ? its just a experiment to try and use the old hardware to do some service .

please do a hackintosh guide for ryzen 3000 series which is due to launch. Especially the higher end 3900x and 3950x. Not just for me, but many people will be looking into these CPUs at this price point. They are basically a super-high-end-computer-under-$1500 builds for content creation. If AMD isn't supported or doesnt work, we would really appreciate a build with i9-9900K which is also a super-high-end-computer-under-$1500 build. Please ! Pleeeaaaaassssseeee!!!

Your Hack is made from off the shelf low quality parts and pirated OS. You aren't paying for the all the massive R+D that Apple invests in hardware design and software development. Who has made the P3 display a modern standard (just one example).

Love you for this video. I currently have a macbook pro 15 inch late 2014 and i have to say i was completely disgusted with apple when they chose to solder the SSD to the motherboard since 2016 forward. If it breaks .. basically u gotta change the whole motherboard 😂. I use Logic and sometimes Final cut. Next Computer is definitely gonna be a PC set up as a hackintosh. Thanks man !
