Hi Mike
Inserting the CPU is always scary.
Its easy to see the traingle on the CPU, but I can never see a triangle on the motherboard or on the manual!
How hard would it be to put a clear triangle on the motherboard and the manual?
It didn't come with preinstalled thermal paste?
Ответитьbig thanks for help it was my first time when I install cpu, with your guide I made this really fast without break anything.
ОтветитьMan I should’ve watched this before fucking up my processor caus ei didnt know it just drops like that i was forcing that bitch in😨😭 its been 2 ‘months and still dont have that 360 euros like damn😅
ОтветитьIntel is not thats scary, they use flat components, and amd use pins😬
ОтветитьHi sir can you help me? Do you have discord?
ОтветитьThank You
ОтветитьGood video! Very helpful!
ОтветитьLegend.
ОтветитьCouple tips I would add. (1.) If changing out an old CPU, run a couple of heavy stress tests/workloads like Cinebench, etc before pulling the cooler off. Warming up the CPU can make a big difference because sometimes that old paste sticks and makes removing the cooler difficult and dangerous. (2.) Twist when pulling the cooler off, don't' pull straight up (3.) When installing a new cooler or AIO, make sure to check if the block has any pre-applied paste first. You don't want to add paste if the cooler already has some pre-applied, which many do.
ОтветитьI popped off some protective shipping plastic cover off the CPU socket and it was sliding all around and I couldn't get it back on or figure out the orientation and I was like ... what the F$%# is going on with this 5H1T!!!! I'm probably bending little pins just trying to get this blasted thing on, I'm stopping now. Where the h377 is the lever so I can put the CPU in and be donw with this! 7950x and Gigglebyte mobo.
Ответитьit just won’t fall into place on one side, no bent pins, nothing stuck in the socket, lever all the way up. this is just infuriating
ОтветитьI had the amd ryzen 5 and upgraded to the 7. Everything looks the same but having a hard time getting the screws to reach the motherboard so it can stay in place. Trying my best to not apply harsh force into it
Ответитьmy cpu cooler came with thermal paste on the cooler, so i dont need to put a seperate thermal on the cpu right?
ОтветитьI have brand new cpu 5600x I instaled it and got red cpu light 😢
ОтветитьShould the back-plate come off the motherboard before installing the stock AMD cooler? Or can i keep it?
ОтветитьGreat and easy to follow guide. First time installing an AMD CPU (AM4) so this was helpful.
ОтветитьHello, greetings from the Philippines.
I am starting to build my PC in a manner of weeks, I will use an anti-static wrist strap aside from my anti-static gloves, and I wonder if I can use a medium piece of metal (without paint) to connect the strap. Is it okay to do so?
I'm having trouble with the Screws, I tried rotating them counter Clockwise, but they still won't get in...
ОтветитьI got one of these recently and I have been dragging my feet to install it.. the last time i got a new processor my Dad was trying to help me install it and he ended up breaking it by accident and i had to buy a new one again and I had a tech install it for me.. i have gotten more knowledgeable about installing these now... but man it still makes me nervous to do it..
ОтветитьWe’ve known each other for so long
Your heart’s been aching
But you’re too shy to say it.
Inside we both know what’s been going on,
We know the game and we’re gonna play it.
Annnnnd if you ask me how I’m feeling,
Don’t tell me you’re too blind to see…
Never gonna give you up,
Never gonna let you down,
Never gonna run around and desert you.
Never gonna make you cry,
Never gonna say goodbye,
Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you.
do you need the stock cooler backplate to install the cooler?
ОтветитьThanks. This video will be helpful next week on my first AMD build for my nephews.
ОтветитьThanks for this! it was super helpful and very clear, i’ll definitely be sticking around. Subbed!
ОтветитьI think I just ruined my new cpu
ОтветитьI hope I don't bend the pins on my cpu 🥲
Ответитьi have 5900x processor ryzen 9 Asus prime b550 plus then bought my new board and the same processor is compatable with pro b550-VC that part worked and put the proceesor back in old mother board and does not work at all i do not understand thnk you
Ответитьwhy did u apply paste u have it on the coller what>?>>>>
ОтветитьBrilliant! Thank you very much for a great tutorial with so much attention to detail. You really helped massively 🙂
Ответитьthanks! upgrading from a 2600x to a 5600x, after seeing this i feel confident to switch it :)
ОтветитьYeah point important small details far from the camera thats very smart
ОтветитьWarning thermal grease comes pre-applied on most heat syncs. Make sure to double check!
ОтветитьMike and his pea compound!
ОтветитьYou did a better job than AMD's official lmao. Never installed a Ryzen or seen one. Helping a friend out from a distance
ОтветитьI know this is old but I just ordered all my PC parts about an hour ago for my first ever PC build and am kind of freaking out a little bit. A major freak out I was having was actually installing the CPU but you just put me at ease. Thank you for an excellent tutorial.
ОтветитьIs it little hard to push the lever down after settling the processor
Ответить5900x processor is it ok use heat sink fan with the board
ОтветитьOne trick to use while spreading the cooling compound is to use a clean piece of plastic, like a credit card. to spread the compound evenly across the top of the heat spreader.
ОтветитьDo you really need to tske off the spring to Install cooler? Cant I just pop it in there like that
Ответитьdoesn't that stock fan have thermal paste pre-applied at factory? mine does.
ОтветитьI connected using this method. I bought a new 5600g. It had grey color underneath the cooler. But I find cpu temperature as 62.5 celsius. Is it too high? Room temperature is 29 celsius.
ОтветитьMy last CPU install was a 486, lol
ОтветитьThanks for the video it will prove to be useful. I've recently been given an AMD Ryzen CPU and motherboard but one of the tangs was broken on one of the CPU brackets (the plastic bits you removed). Luckily they sell them separately and I've got a genuine set of brackets for £4. I can't wait for them to arrive along with some Arctic thermal paste like you used (I remembered to go for that one from building old Pentium and Core 2 Duo systems years ago). Not that great on building PCs but I normally get by. The irony is if it all works okay I plan on replacing the CPU cooler with another which doesn't even need the brackets but I don't want to spend £50 on a cooler when I'm not 100% sure the motherboard and CPU are actually working (they were taken out of a PC which had some problems and I am hoping it was caused by the CPU cooler literally hanging off on one side due to the broken bracket). Wish me luck and hopefully I'll have a nice upgrade and I can ditch my old i5 3570 which is getting kind of old now. I hope it works okay with my GPU even though it's kinda old too (GTX 970). Thanks dude.
ОтветитьI'm putting my old computer back together and I have to put all my and multiple gods might to keep that door down so I can screw the screw in
ОтветитьThanks sire for this video. It's really helpful for me 🙂🙂🙂
ОтветитьI’m going to do this next month. I’m really nervous because it feels like I’m going to do some heart surgery or something
ОтветитьNothing makes me more uncomfortable than screwing with the stock AMD cooler.
