My reccommendation...be a winner..its pretty fair to give em two weeks and if not hear call em, even if you already know its likely a No.
Why cuz if u afraid of hearing and talking employment, ur going to afraid of bigger business. And if they use it against eff em...if there that petty they doing u a favor not hiring you.
So call em in 2 weeks.

Many large companies will delay offers. Usually, it’s budget constraints that cause delays or, sometimes, the position/req is eliminated. It use to really tick off my boss.

What if you are dealing with direct internal HR Manager and not a recruiter?
Would you advise not to call and check in every 2-3 days?

I need advise please if anyone out there. So i had gotten an interview with the HR Manager for the position Cloud engineer. The HR Manager and I spoken for about 38 mins little over the time(30 mins interview) and at the end of the interview she said " im really going to send your resume off to the manager and actually he was the one who advise me too look into your experience/personality." I told her thank you very much and hope to speak with him soon. Last friday (9/29/23 we had a 30 mins teams interview and spoke on MANY topics and it seems like we had LOTS of fun talking with each other. By time my interview was over it was pass 1 hour and 15 mins. He apologized for long unexpected meeting and i told him no no thank you for giving me this opportunity to speak. I really enjoy it. Before we hung up he told me that he will be doing 3rd final interview 2nd week of October. Aftwards the next day morning (09/30/23) i was VERY shock cause he went to my LinkedIn page and ask to connect with me and i accept. Thats all what do you all think of this? Good signs? Will i get the job? Man i wont lie im a stressing with Excitement.

What about salary bands negotiation for govt jobs.
20yrs+ Exp. I'm not taking a wage in the middle of the band...most likely you'd be losing money if moving to a similar role with a different agency.

I think they purposefully make this process so annoying/agonizing to discourage people from quitting. I DESPISE searching for a new job. It’s literally a full time job unto itself. I don’t mind working and I show up on time but man , sometimes just getting your foot in the door is literally painful… 2nd, 3rd interviews, the anxiety and waiting, the lowball offers, the promises that never materialize…. just overall a very frustrating experience.

Ithink if they hire me at the max...I'm not declining and I'd stick around later as I'm more valued.

I was referred to this posting by the ED of the very organization that I want to work for. Got my first interview, went to one of the sites for observation per their request, got my 2nd interview. Everything so far seemed so promising. Then i waited past the deadline they said they would give an update. I contacted them twice to get an answer. Turned out they gave the job to someone else. Wish they hadn't wasted so much of my time leading me on.

Heres something i wont ever send these people on cent... If Truist won't hire you or Wells don't bank there... I am sick and tired of these people who do they think are... I have a Masters of Wealth and Trust Management from a nice school... Talked to a person from a crusty Oklahoma accounting firm... Don't give them business... If they think they are better than you don't give them business...

I am new to professional jobs search. Can someone please tell me after a job interview how long does it takes on average for a company to accept or reject me and will they inform me of the rejection or acceptance? It has been a month and there is no response. Do companies reject you, they don’t even bother to tell you that they reject you? Thank you.

I was told by a company that I passed all my interviews, but there will be a delay in my job offer since the hiring manager was on bereavement leave… now after waiting again, I was told that they are experiencing some technical difficulties with their requisitions, should I still wait for a job offer from this company or should I go back to job hunting? Please answer me, I need your help 🤧

I had a job interview on July 6. July 12 the supervisor give a verbal offer over the phone. And told that I will get an email from HR. On July 17. I called him for an update he say to wait and told me to text him if I need anything. 2 more weeks passed by nothing. I am not able to reach the supervisor because he is in the field. So yesterday I called corporate Hr and they open a case for me to investigate what is going on with the talent team

I stopped being excited for the weekend; there is no chance a job offer will be presented until the next week. Disheartening to not hear back, company after company, job after job. If they are using myworkforce software, I no longer waste my time applying. I had better luck getting a job when I only had a high school diploma, (finishing my Masters now)

Hey, so I’m in reference check phase. I went to multiple rounds in person and virtually. They called 2/3 my reference but the last one didn’t get a call yet. I made sure they have no missed calls. The first 2 gave a great reference one was a former boss another was a collogue. Would the 3rd one get a call?

In Japan, it is not uncommon for job offer (内定/naitei) to come on the same day as your interview... at least for new grads.

I applied to a job, no response, then ran into the owner of the company a month later and says "Wow we would love someone like you". Emailed resume directly to the owner. Even fallow up emailed them. Next I've had three recruiters reach out to me over the last five months from the same company. My guess the recruiters are getting paid for not actually sealing the deal. A week ago the company goes on LinkedIn going "We are a great company but have not had anyone apply in months" how can we get the word out. Owner called me back today and I said "No thanks."

Hi Bryan! I'm excited to tell you I landed a job offer from a reputable company after being unemployed for nearly two years. I had previously applied to two other positions and was ghosted. Their recruiter called me to ask me to apply to a position for which they thought I'd be a good fit. After two interviews, I have my offer at the salary I requested. I am going to negotiate for a third week of PTO, though. Thank you so much for your videos and advice. I'm so excited!

Applied like April 26th or 31st, recruiter call May 3rd, interview was delayed(my fault, thought id get the job b4 this one), scheduled May 19th interview. They said theyd respond in a few days yet May 30th i emailed them and got a denial on May 31st. A week later June 5th he called me back that they decided to open a 4th position and needs to get that approved by finance but the liked me that they dont need to open the position back to the public etc. The job was originally supposed to start on 06/12. He called back that they haven't fully approved the 4th position yet and said its delayed to start until July 3rd. Did references and background check now so hopefully i can get the written offer this coming week atleast as a gaurentee.

The biggest reason you are waiting for your offer after seemingly everything else has been completed is they are shopping for candidates.
They probably have some other candidates they think might be potentially even better but they haven't completed the process with them.
And if you think about it, candidates do the same thing. Candidates will usually apply to a number of companies and will try to get at least couple offers in hopes they can select the best offer they can.
My advice would be to let them know you have put in your notice at your current place and self imposed a deadline for your decision. You don't have to say more than that, they will figure out you have other offers you are considering. If they want to hire you they will usually expedite the process after hearing it.

Too much red tape in the approval process with some companies. All added cost for no added value, usually a sign that the company has lost its way. Sack HR and most of the other waste of spacers, they often have no idea of what the job is anyway and just hire the person, like we used to do, when we were allowed to do things properly and efficiently.

If you ask for more money company will ask more from you? No, it‘s a lie. 99% people in the company don‘t know your salary and most don‘t know your position(if you are junior, mid or senior developer for example). Company will require all, you agree to give. This is my experience of 10+ years in software dev on leading positions.

Excellent. one other issue in some companies we need client approval like security checks since information is restricted. They to must approve your hiring to their budget. I've seen that stall many people because they need to internally apply to fund you.

My interview was taken by VP at first round. It lasted more than its scheduled time. At the end of call he told who all are in team and what work I will be doing. Asked weather k worked previously in weekends finally said Hr will get back to me with next steps. It’s been over a week now. I tried contacting HR but no response from her.
Company is very renowned and role is super cool. Daily I am waking up with an anxiety and checking my phone after notification sound…

I interviewed with the VP of a company 4 weeks ago. I interviewed with the team 3 weeks ago. Last week VP sent me an email saying that they were reviewing candidates and will reach out to me once a decision is made. Waiting 4 weeks is frustrating! Wondering if they offered it to someone and they're waiting for a response or if this length of time is normal.

I bet 80% of people questioning themselves if they were ok interviewing were declined. Guys, I was in your skins and i can guarantee that you're going to know the vibe as soon as you've done interviewing. Don't lie to yourself --- if it passed really great you wouldn't ask urself how good u were actually performing. Don't wait and keep moving!

Manager isn’t the actual one that makes the decision. 2 levels should be the only levels needed to get a deal done.
