Your explanation of the importance of setting eyeshadow primer evoked a vivid makeup memory from over a decade ago. I'd recently gotten into makeup and had just found out about eyeshadow primer, so I'd apply it liberally all over my lids. Unfortunately, I hadn't heard about setting it, and this was also the time when I was really into wearing a literal black smokey eye every single day. Transition shade? Didn't know her either. I'd go straight in with black eyeshadow and take God knows how long blending it out. Unbeknownst to me, I was making the makeup process unnecessarily stressful, and would often be late for things because of how long my eyeshadow would take. Don't be like me, kids.

Unset primer + black eyeshadow + crappy brushes = makeup hell.
