The trick is, find comps that get top 4 a lot... better to be fourth 10 times in a row than to be first, last, last last last, ..., first... because you didn't get that unit you needed

I love void, but with kais'a being part of challengers. but I am having and extremely hard time either finding her, or getting past a one cost, because EVERYONE is f**king picking her. I almost wish she was changed to a Sorc, that way you just need one more sorc to play 4 of them. Plus with challengers being so popular, when you wind up in a lobby where 2 other are trying to go void. many its a real PITA.

why did you put the rogues in the back? shouldnt they be in the frontline to take damage and jump asap to the opponent backline?

Hey all, some meta updates since this video dropped:

Akshan - People are playing more around this unit than Aphelios. Give him Deathblade + Runaans + Infinity Edge and roll for him at level 7 to get to 3*. Also can chase Ashe 3* and give her items --> leftovers on Aphelios/Urgot.

Yasuo - Rapidfire Cannon is becoming the main item to play around Yasuo to snipe backline carries like an assassin. Give him Deathblade + Infinity Edge as well. Edge of Night + RFC is also totally fine!

Noxus - 6 Noxus is becoming quite popular because Darius 3* and Kat 3* are total beasts in the late game. Just play Hands of Justices over the Salyer Emblems and aim for 6 Noxus @ level 6 if you can. Warwick/Rogue unit at 7.

Just build Darius. That’s every lobby. 🥲 DUNK DUNK DUNK. It’s just lvl 6 roll down where everyone is getting 2-3 3 stars by raptors and if you don’t gold dump you end up getting steam rolled. I’m hard stuck gold right now lol. Send help.

Clean guide! But I am surprised you didn't mention the RFC Yasuo tech to snipe backline. :D But I agree that it can sometimes backfire because he gets sniped by Lux etc though.

In what elo is Zeri viable because I have yet to not go bot 4 with her in diamond. Even two star with fully upgraded board, it gets rolled by ionia and everything else in the lobby

Quick question about the sorc comp, if you hit the infusion augment can that cover for mana items so you can just slam all damage items onto your carry? Also, the video is really helpful, thank you!

I like using the letter number system like chess but it's a little confusing to invert it

Isn’t giant slayer useless on kalista since she does true damage and it’s not affected by multipliers (at least it is on summoners rift)

You don’t think akshan and ashe should swap places so that akshan can snipe the backline if they’re not hidden by frontline?

I like the sorcs Lux comp a lot. But I feel like 8sorcs is a bait unless you get 2 sorc spats. Playing Malz+Ori at lvl9 feels so bad. If you have a sorc+1 you can just play 6 sorcs and go 3 Demacia + Shen + Karma to get Bastion + Invoker + 3 Ionia for Ahri. With Shen you get an extra good frontline unit + Bastion, this way you pretty much guarantee Ahri to get to her 3rd cast + buys time for Lux to kill high value units.

If I dont have +1 sorcs and still want to hardforce 6sorcs, I play either Malz or Ori and either just play Shen2 at lvl9 (who knows, you might hit iona spat on carousel. Happened to me before) or I can put in Ksante/Sion/Heimer to get extra frontline.

Aside from that I feel like Swain is a bad maintank. I prefer to use Taric as tank item holder. Swain gets spark+sunfire, Taric gets stoneplate+warmogs (J4 gets vow/sorcspat to cast faster). I think people put way to much value on Taric needing to be sandwiched. Taric is plenty tanky. You usually dont 3 star Swain, so he dies fairly quickly. I usually play Taric middle, left/right J4/Shen and 2nd row Swain with sunfire/spark to weaken frontline. Its probably just a matter of preference but Ive found most success like this. Other setups always resulted in my frontline dying too quickly.

I dont remember the last ranged carry we had that WANTED to focus the strongest frontline first

Shadow Isle Gwen is such a fun comp to play and usually uncontested. Ever since the set started Gwen has been my most consistent 3* 4 cost because people tend to gloss her over. Only issue I find is that Lux just hard stops you unless both Yasuo and Gwen get on top of her quickly. Also one thing I found to be interesting is playing around Viego 3 if you somehow hit him for free. Allows you to keep Zed so that you don't have to chase for the Yasuo and have backline access that way.
