AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT GPU Review: Literally Anything Will Sell

Skip to 2023, you can find the 6700 XT for right around $300 and the 3070 is still at or above $500. Suddenly the value proposition is much better, unless you can afford to shell out for the latest and greatest cards.

Hi Guys. I'm planning to buy 2nd hand. All of them is between 260 - 272usd price range. Which one should I choose? TIA

Now past mid 2023 the RX 6750 XT and 6700 XT are one of the best value cards on the market. And it has 12 GB VRAM where newer and way more expensive nGreedya cards sport an meager 8 GB of VRAM which is today not allways enough for games.
Surprisingly the best bang for the buck is the RTX 3060 non Ti from nVidia at the moment which sports as well 12 GB VRAM. But that RTX 3060 is considerable slower than the RX 6750 XT, but is as well by a bit cheaper to have new.

This card is a BEAST at 1080p. I upgraded from a 5700xt that I bought for $180 used. It had been mined on and lasted all of about 8 months before crapping out. I was able to purchase my friends year old 6700xt MERC Black edition for a steal and couldn't be happier. Currently OC'd it to 2700mhz core,1.130 mV and 2100mhz memory and it runs beautifully. It's on par with a 3070 without RTX obviously, but I'm not too worried about that. Seriously a wonderful buy.

It's now mid/late 2023 and somehow just like in 2022 this card remains one of the best values around, trashing cards like the 4060, and with some determined searching they can be had on the used market for not much over $200 - just an absolutely insane value

I think the best conclusion years later is, STOP BUYING brand new GPUs. Just wait a year or two and get 90% of the experience for 60% of the price. (And if you are a real champ just buy all your games at the same pace and you get the SAME experience as everyone else, and everything is cheaper.) FOMO is all you, you can stop it.

Glad I revisited this review. Had a 2080s that I suspected was giving me issues with my pc. Best buy had a 6700xt for $350, which was my max budget atm. Was worrying there might be a drop-off. Nope, it was actually an upgrade. The comparison on this video were really accurate. Thanks again, GN

So I got my Power Color Fighter RX 6700 XT on Amazon Prime day for $299 with star field, locked the voltage to 1100mV, min frequency to 2500 and max frequency to 2650 and overclocked the memory to fast timing at 2150 mhz.

Ran it through time spy 10 times and my card doesnt draw anymore than 195w under full load and I still got good overall results.

I won boys! I can finally retire my RX 580.

Would this be a good pairing for a ryzen 5 5600g ?

SItuation did change a lot. In 07.2023 its probably the best value of price/performance avg gpu. It is slightly slower then 4060TI (lower GB model) but +- 20% cheaper. Althrough probably some AMD pricing changes were also made ;)

And now in 2023 the RX 6700 XT is the best value midrange card in the market.

I am running a Ryzen 1700x will this card be ok to run on such an older system?

Is this gpu worth it for 330€? That's how much it'd cost me here in Spain atm. I really can't find anything better for the price

Picked up a 6750XT for 370 USD absolute bargain card and have used it for 2 months now flawlessly, let go of the hate for cards that aren't nvidia

You know what's really ridiculous Steve, is how much you continuously bang the graphics card on the table over and over again. You literally have to be trying to be an A$$hat on purpose to keep knocking a graphics card on the table like that. In the first 5 minutes of the video you do it like 7 times, and what's worse you appear to be doing it on purpose. We get it, you don't like the card, but at least have the decency to respect the tech that is sent out to you for review (or better yet that you may have purchased with your own money) and also remember that you are representing professionalism to future Video installers and PC techs who may be watching your video.. I.E. SET AN EXAMPLE OF HOW NOT TO BE like LINUS, and break tech constantly by treating it with some level of care. I think you seem to forget that there are many of your viewers who would love to own a graphics card like that, even if you don't appreciate it or respect it very much, and seeing you smack it around carelessly really makes you look like you have 2 brain cells and one of those is out to lunch if you get my meaning. Be a PROFESSIONAL. You have been doing this long enough to know that right?

just picked one up for $277

Doesnt aged well...Best Valuecard atm....bought a New about 2 weeks ago...did a little bit tuning (Fancurve, Powertarget,Undervolting etc) and on WQHD it performs on the Level of 3070 most of the time..only RTX is weaker but it doesnt bother me

I just bought this card brand new for 420 euros with a free game included (the last of us).
Meanwhile the 3060 TI costs 600 euros and only has 8gb Vram which has just proven to be obsolete from now on.

I'd say this is a good choice at this point and time, in mars - april 2023

Bought the FXF Merc 6700 XT black 3 months ago. Card runs very well plays all the game in play just fine No complaints here. I also just bought the Asrock Taichi 7900 XT its run perfectly.

I want to sell my 1650 Super and get one of these so bad. I have a 4K TV and I feel like this would be a much better fit.

watching more reviews on these cards now has got me feeling grateful for not being able to buy then because I just recently bought a 6950xt OC version which are usually more expensive for only $699 incredible price to performance if you ask me and I don't plan on upgrading for a LONG time.

None of these reviews are aging well at all. This card is around $350 right now and an absolute beast versus the rtx 3070.
