Pretty good, but incomplete. My elantra N and others like it are sicker than the new WRX since STI is out. These Elantra Ns are about as good as Civic Type-R at about $10-$20k less, depending on the markup paid for the Honda. I got my Elantra N for MSRP at a time when it rarely happens. I'm in 6-speed performance heaven with a daily driver!

Bought an MK2 Coupe couple years ago as a joke but got surprised by it. Good handling - heard Porsche was hired to set it up, interesting styling - lost the count of how many boy racers expected me to race them on traffic lights, and quite reliable. Mine came with a Miltek exhaust that made it sounds really good despite the 4-pot 1.6 liter engine 😂😂👍.
Donut should buy a 2.0 liter one and make it cooler and faster than a Veloster N, what do you guys think??⁉️🤔
P. S.: as a brand Hyundai isn't cool as Toyota isn't either but sometimes they do make cool cars. 😁

The N series are novelty cars. I think it's a great entry level car for a younger person wanting their first "fun" car. But the novelty wares off after about a year, and by the 2nd year you're looking at Civics, GTI's, and basically everyone they try to compete with. I remember when the First "N"s started showing up, and they were everywhere. But now, you rarely see them. Maybe the engines let go like all the other Korean cars? Maybe the novelty just wore off and they are sitting rotting away on some Buy Here Pay Here lot with a price tag higher than MSRP. Not sure. I know I respected the Genesis coupe and thought they looked really good lowered with a good set of wheel/tires. But its never been a car on my "bucket list", or a car I'd even really want to drive.

I recently bought an Elantra N and its one of the funnest cars ive ever drove in my life. N mode has a cool burble tune that makes the exhaust pop and crackle. It looks cool inside and out, and it was the fastest nonRWD car you could buy in canada for under 50k. I used to have a 200 with the 3.6L V6 and this car makes more hp than the 200 despite having an engine almost half the size. It might not be as loud but it feels much more sporty

I fell in love with hot-hatches way back in '92 when I drove my girlfriend's CRX. I would absolutely love to have a Veloster N, my current (realistic) dream car. Some day I will get one, until then my GE8 Honda Fit is pretty fun.

My first 'cool' car was a 2001 Tiburon SE in 2003. Loved it to death and it made me feel like a king. Sold it when I moved abroad, then 10 years later, returned & tried to find another. Never could find anything worth while - all of the Tibby's of that generation (2000-2001) were rusted out, beat to hell or simply 'parts cars'. Managed to find a unicorn this year and proud to say I'm back driving a 2001 Tiburon in cherry-red with a really silly race-spoiler bolted onto the back. Never been happier!

I owned a 2004 hyundai tiburon gt with a 2.7L v6, in black, with "tanned leather" seats, and i absolutely LOVED that car.

and just like you say here, as time went by, people would look down on the tiburon, and dismiss it as a piece of junk... But i did not pay attention, i kept maintaining it, keeping it clean, and fixing small issues here and there. The engine & transmission was rock solid, never gave me any major issues, super reliable, imo still one of the most beautifully designed cars ever made.

Eventually as I got older, i decided to buy a 2018 elantra gt sport (1.6L turbo with manual transmision) and finally decided to sell my baby (04 tiburon gt) ....

I cant complain about the elantra gt, it's been good to me, zero issues, it's snappy, makes all the cool blowoff noises and sounds beefy with the muffler delete.... but there is not a single week that goes by that I dont miss my old tiburon.... I wish I could go back in time, and NOT sell it... It'd be a really cool project car to maybe put turbo's on it or a supercharger or something and drive it like i hate it for fun :D

anyways, Iam one of those hyundai guys, and when the time comes to get rid of my elantra gt, i'll probably replace it with another hyundai..

GG , great video.

Yeah Hunday ain’t cool till the ionic hit the market.

All of a sundden you get someone like me putting my name on a 2 year waiting list because I want this as my first “new car”….

Electrification, timing, good products, and a global pandemic pushed supply & demand towards Hyundai being sought after.

Cool, in my opinion is something, someone, or some feeling being sought.

Ionic created that.

And now that I have one, I want to wind the clock and go back to the internal combustion engines (ICE) Ns brought through the veloster and fully prepare for the upcoming Ionic N.

The idea of replicating the feeling of an ICE vehicle through an EV is the most coolest thing I’ve ever seen in my life.

They are literally merging augmented reality with video games through the engineering of the ionic N’ electric shifting and rev software. Including audio engineering the ICE engine noises.

All this shit is so cool! And will likely save their ICE lines too because you need to keep making an ICE vehicle in order to recreate it in EV format.

Means they creat a market of ICE racing relevance, while doing R&D for their next EV icon.

So cool.

So yeah Hyundai is cool now. Also they fight the North which is cool.

How can you say the gen coupe isn’t cool looking? Its like forcefully looking for something sbad to say about the brand. I saw one parked at a spot n watched countless people turn their heads dude the car is wide and low what else 🤦🏾‍♂️

Hyundai's Genesis lines is what I love about Hyundai.

Before my G70, I had the BMW 335i and Audi S5... and I rate my G70 over the S5 but on the same level as my 335i
