ОтветитьWhat about organic peanut butter, daily in a large amount, like 3 tbsps on a sandwich? I am psychologically addicted to cow's milk and peanut butter jelly sandwiches and I don't know why. But I've enjoyed many of your videos and they make perfect sense. As with any food addictions, I'm gradually cutting back on the quanity of milk each day and find myself cheating with a PB sandwich late in the day. BUT BUT BUT I am doing all the other things you recommend like changing to organic and non gmo foods, and no foods with ingredients I can't pronounce or understand. The majority of food I eat now are all from the organic produce dept and are quite expensive. But that is offset by the costs of junk food I'm not eating. I've been on this diet now for 9 days and hope to cure my high blood pressure, high chloresterol, and hopefull help my congestive heart failure. But should I eliminate my daily Peanut butter/jelly sandwich? I'm writing so much here to help you get a picture of my problem. Yes, I'm fat. 241 lbs and almost 80 years old. So Mark, you probably are saving my life. A thousand thank you's, sir!

ОтветитьI do all of these things but I do eat some dairy products from grass-fed cows. I have some cheese and yogurt, full fat, no added sugar and I use heavy cream in my coffee each day, about an ounce. I think I'm doing well but based on what he says now I have to cut out the dairy and I don't know if I can do that. I don't eat any processed foods, I don't eat white flour or white sugar, nothing out of packages but we do have some dairy. Not every day and not a lot but we do have some.

ОтветитьDr Hyman doesnt know this but watching his vids for, I think 3 years now, I wouldn't have found out about Armour for hypothyroidism.
He saved my life! I couldnt get out bed and here in Cleveland Ohio the Cleveland Clinic told me they couldnt give me anything but a synthroid, Levothyroxine which did not work for me at all. They turned me away. I went to Tenpenny here in Middleburg Heights were Im from and this practice is Functional Medicine. I recieved the propper blood work of THS T4 T3 and T2 and was placed on Armour that week. Thank god I found him and his podcasts and take notes and study from all his knowledge. He taught me to save myself from PCPs that dont do their job. Most cases they say " well thr fda doesnt approve tht med so i cant give tht to you." Or a pharmaceutical company owns the hospital system. Watch Dr Hyman to fix your bodies ailments!

ОтветитьI'd love it if you would input a day of vegan eating into Cronometer and show us how you can't get enough protein with all of the essential amino acids in it, in particular the leucine and branch chain amino acids that you refer to. When I enter in a day of whole food, plant based eating, I get 200% - 400%+ of those amino acids.
ОтветитьBig fan, thanks for this video. Contemporary research, however, shows that you can get all the essential amino acids and protein quantity needed from a purely plant based diet. From the National Institutes of Health 2019, "The claim that certain plant foods are “missing” specific amino acids is demonstrably false. All plant foods contain all 20 amino acids, including the 9 indispensable amino acids."
