I think some glazing would have been helpful in making your background pop.

I taught myself to paint with acrylics about 5 years ago. I love painting so much, but recently I have been struggling finding motivation to create and also the confidence to try. I have felt like I suck and don't know what i'm doing because I always have to paint over parts, and restart and that I seemingly can't blend colors and just my mind says "YOU SUCK STOP PAINTING". Your video and commentary has shown me that it is completely normal to redo things and start over and try multiple times. And if a wonderful artist like you does that, then I am not a weirdo and I don't "suck". Thank you.

The peeling can be glued over a plain masquerade mask. It can be shaped before being glued or stick it as is. ❤

You can make your own black with burnt umber and ultra marine blue. You didn’t need the gouache

Its crazy how I'm graduating this year.. six year of art and I have NO idea about color theory, how to use any kind of paint, or art supply other that pencil and 5% marker knowledge.

I liked watching the process and getting the blow-by-blow explanation of what you were thinking and why you made certain decisions. I have to say I turned off the sound and just read the closed captions because (IMO) the voice was sounded cutesy and forced and it was distracting. I would have loved just a normal voiceover so I could focus on the process. Besides that though I found the video very helpful and it gave me confidence to try to experiment more instead of trying to get it perfect. Thank you!

So fun quick tip of the day those pallet knifes you can use on acrylic paint if you want but they personally for me are way more fun and i think they are actually made for oil paints
