not comprehensive. "if you're installing on siding, skip this step" then does not inform us how to install on siding. The doorbell still has to be mounted, even on siding.

Apparently they have changed the ring door bell because the front does not come off the one I just got and I have no idea how to get the battery out!!!

I have the battery operated ring doorbell, so for that you don’t have to do this! It works cause of the battery

My existing bell is on the wall perpindicular to the door, is a kit available to mount the bell facing partly towards the street?

The Ring NEVER worked and when we contacted the company their helper continued to fall asleep on the phone. The second time the person was unable to help and told us he would send us the instructions. We already had the instructions and of course this was of no value. In my opinion this was no more than a waste of money with a foney company. What an absolute joke. Save your hard earned money. We will be looking at Google.

Do not buy this crap, it is a complete PITA. Totally unreliable, stops streaming for no reason, then you have to set the whole thing up again, put in wifi password for chime pro and repeat for doorbell. Buy a proper cctv camera, then you won't have these problems. You will have to keep setting the whole thig up when it stops working for no reason at all.

Before installing the cover with a security screw, I would turn on power and test that the doorbell is working properly.

Don't worry, if you're unable to install this you'll be visited by your local police which will help you, since ring gives all your footage to police without warrant of concent. Because we live in a police state that Ring not only complies with but is also incentivised by.

Unfortunately there are about 5 parts (level, drill bit, angler, extenders, and more) referenced which didn't come with my Ring that I just purchased new. Needless to say the instructions don't match what I have to do. That said the video is still helpful.
