Another amazing movie showing Jackie Chan is the man. What a master.

Most of Chan's films circa 80s to late 90s incorporate what we know as slapstick which he effectively applies in kung-fu fights, lending the fight scenes a light and often "comedy of errors" effect, which in turn brings down the temperature or tension and even seriousness of the scenes. It's very "Chinese opera" or Chinese Circus. They're not my taste although I was a fan of the "Snake in the Eagle's Shadow" formula because of the wonderful choreographies crafted by the Yuen Brothers. But after awhile, Chan's later films didn't age well for me so, like this one here, I mostly skip to the final fight scenes where they are usually more intense emotionally and physically. The story arcs are just about the same in these genres, where it's all about revenge, vindication or leveling up and maturing in the art of wuxia, so nothing much missed in terms of the drama development within the story. These are just my own thoughts, and I have no intentions to pejorate Mr Chan's successes. I'm just saying them as a movie watcher and a wuxia pian enthusiast. Anyway, it's time for me to skip to the final fight scene. Have a good day everyone.

Jackie Chan acts like an idiot..i prefer Bruce lee as an actor. Sad he didnt live long otherwise he would out number jackie.
