Amazon should know that a balance must always be maintained to benefit all parties concerned.

Why is Amazon getting demonized? It's using common sense, market needs, consumer behaviour, etc... and giving people choices. It's the national brands that don't want any competition so that they can 'fleece' customers in the name of higher quality. Consumers are highly intelligent beings. Let them decide.

I buy Amazon batteries. Why TF do I want to spend $20 on 8 batteries from a name brand when I could get 100 batteries for $20 on Amazon. Yeah the name brand may last longer but I have 100 batteries lol. That little extra power won't mean nothing.

Why people are complaining. It is the same as any other brand. Like Apple is to Foxconn. Costco is to Kirkland. Sam's Club to Member's Mark. Walmart to Equate. A popular brand always have a premium price and a lower price with different private labeling. It's like a RAV4 and a Lexus, the same company Toyota automaker.

The little guys want to complain that Amazon is making and selling their products themselves, but they send all of their products to China to be manufactured. Well before Amazon can copy a product to sell, the factory in China where the original product is being made, has sold the intellectual property on how to make it to someone else and it is being made and sold by "knock-off" companies well before the original product hits the shelves. If you are OK with one you can't complain too much about the other.

Great video as always ARI, hopefully you and yours are safe. Realty Income is my largest holding, making up 6.86% of my portfolio. I'll be adding more as my goal is to bring in $100 per month in passive income from O. I'm $6.41 cents shy of that mark. PEP is my 5th largest holding at 4.29%, MCD checks in at #9 at 3.12%. I don't own SBUX presently, but have 49 shares in my portfolio, if my OCD gets the best of me I'll definitely look at SBUX to make it an even 50 holdings. I don't own UPS and not real high on my list to purchase, Same goes for TROW, not currently interested in it, but did hold it for a short time before I trimmed the portfolio. Can't go wrong with any of them, they are all solid choices.

When large corporations copy the products of smaller companies, it's competition...
When small companies release a product with 1% resemblance to that of large corporations, it's a patent infringement...

Maybe change the patent system, so that it's based on common sense and fair competition, instead of "who's the wealthiest" and can afford a patent!

The EU fines are not limited to be merely some "line item". The fine limit is actually limited to 10% of the actual global turnover of a company. If Amazon, is unimpressed by the fines it gets from the EU, the fines will move closer to that limit and yes, even Amazon will start to look up if something close to 10% of its global turnover is lost due to illegal practices in a single market. Everything else would be simply irresposible behaviour towards its shareholders.

It may not be the popular opinion, but i was getting very tired of handing over large amounts of money for "quality" products on amazon only to get mediocre, and i was fed up for buying the cheap products and getting nothing more than paper weights. After buying a few mainly stationary related amazon basics products (paper, stapler, scissors, standing fan, batteries) i'm really happy with my purchases, they are not the cheapest but not over priced and i'd rate them 4-5 out of 5. I like consistency when I buy products and with the amazon basics brand products i've had they have been consistently pretty good for a pretty good price which i'm happy with. It's better than paying a lot for okay or little for garbage. I don't agree with some of the practices addressed like cutting corners by copying product designs but they are filling a much needed market in my opinion of "decent products for a decent price".

They are also on about the data of customers being the big difference between for example amazon and aldi, but there's nothing stopping aldi from having a look at the sales figures to identify which products are selling the best, or even the cameras to see which products are looked at the most. They can also stick their own label brands in peak shelf positions. Amazon isn't doing anything new at all.

Why wouldn’t the big brands make Amazon products? Even though the Amazon name and brands fetch a significantly lower price there’s still a dollar to be made for the manufacturer.

Are they really complaining about basic, fair, and healthy capitalist competition? Amazon set up their website, they allow people on to their site to sell their products, Amazon also sells their own products. But since it's on Amazon's website, they have the privilege to lower the prices (WHICH IS GOOD FOR US), but it also generally means you get a lower quality product. My gosh, this is basic stuff, people. You want something basic but cheap, you get Amazon. You want something nice but expensive, you get a name brand. This is dumb to be complaining about having the option to get cheaper stuff.

They have a policy to not use private label information that is not public... However, if the label is selling on Amazon then it isn't considered private which means that Amazon can clearly use the date and form their own brands off of our ideas. Google is selling our data also. Listening to phone calls and ideas and then having other manufacturers and other to create your ideas.
