Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus Whitestone Dome Glass - Install and Review

Thank you. I watched all your videos for the S20+ and bought the Whitestone Dom Glass for my phone.

This company is so shady and dishonest. Do NOT give them your $$$

I would NOT buy these. IF (big IF) they go on perfect, they're good. My first one went on magically perfect, but it DID break a few months later. I tried putting on the "spare" you get in the box. That was my first time where it was clear that the adhesive that they give you is NOT enough and it didn't cover the screen in the 60-seconds they say to wait. I waited 5-minutes... still not coverage. So I said oh well and zapped it w/ the black light. sure enough that one also broke. I ordered another. This time I was determined not to have bubbles and have full coverage and have it nice. took extra time and followed the instruction to the letter. Still not full coverage. So I tried to start over like the instructions say.. news flash, once there is stuff on the new protector, it's trash. It will never get totally clean. to start over you have to use the other one provided. that one ALSO didn't have enough adhesive. I thought it was a fluke so I bought a THIRD kid. both of those also did not go one full full coverage. I would NOT recommend anyone buy these...

Can it be removed if iy is not applird properly?

Why would such an expensive protector have that glass cutout ruining it?? It leave the camera far less protector and creates a little area for dust to build up

Just watched this video. Sadly they are unavailable which is truly sad for me. I'd love to give one a try.

Had one installed. Had some cracks on the corners after a few months. Got worse after that, and had to remove it. The only thing special about these things are the glue they use. I tried other, cheaper brands since then, and the whitestone dome glass stays "sticky" so to say, while glue on cheaper products turned solid. This means that low pressure from the sides can lift up the corners on the cheaper ones, and they won't stay back down. Whitestone dome glass on the other hand, stays softer. Upside: Sides don't peel. Down sides: small impact on corners breaks the class, as the glue underneath offers no support (And no I didn't throw my phone across the room, cracked one of the corners while accidentally tapping the a corner against a tooth!) Considering that, and the fact that my UV light has a terrible quality cable that has a break in it after one use, makes me say that the whitestone dome glass is INCREDIBLY overpriced!! If I could buy an extra glass and some glue for €10, and the USB cable for the light was a bit better, I would have highly recommended this product.... but I won't be buying another at €45, to buy an entire kit, that I already own, for just another couple of months of screen protection. It's the best option out there.. it's just WAY overpriced.

I had it on my P30Pro and now on my S20 Ultra - and yes, its definitely worth the money and not really hard to install :)

the only bad reviews ive seen are people complaining about the installation process, and i cant help but feel most people are just too impatient to take the 10 minutes to do it right. watching you do it, and hearing your satisfaction with the product after 2 EDITED hours of screen protectors made me confident enough to purchase, after my stock screen protector peeled up. Hoping it turns out as well as it seemed to here

WARNING THIS CAN DAMAGE YOUR PHONE IS SOMETHING GOES WRONG: These whitestone screen protectors damaged a few phones displays of a Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, & Note 20 Ultra I installed it on. The UV Glue got past the absorbing pads and got in between where the Glass display meets the metal frame and cause a permanent large dark spot inside the display on both phones. It damages the displays. Had to pay Samsung $700.00 to replace two displays for two brand new out the box galaxy phones. They wouldn't cover the phones under warranty because the said the glue is considered as liquid damage.

Excellent review video. I've never used anything other than Whitestone Dome Glass. I'm thrilled to see that this is a superior product to all the other screen protectors that you tested in a previous video. Both my 512gb Galaxy S20 Ultra and screen protector are arriving Wednesday. Can not wait!

Hey man do you still use the same phone? How long do these protectors hold up for? Thinking about getting one as my phone screen just got repaired from a particularly bad drop. Don't wanna repeat that!

Does this have the disgusting hole cut out for the fingerprint?

I know for a fact I would miss a single spec of dust and it would destroy me.

It was between this and the amfilm ultra version of this style of protector for my s20 ultra. Hoping installing it goes smoothly.

Would a otterbox commuter work with this protector or would it lift it off?

just get a cheap PET film, it s the same that s20 comes with from the factory on it, and change it every half a year or year... has no orange peel and no fingerprint issues.

It is worth the money based on my experience. The TRex glass also good and a little cheaper but whitestone dome is the best. I use it for my iphone for 3 years, my phone fall many times, no crack no scratch nothing. Still like new until now. I ordered one for my S21 Ultra as well.

I put a whitestone dome glass on my s9+ when i first bought it, its been 3 years and still looks good! Even though it has a crack it still protects. Worth the money in my opinion

Try the egv in Amazon you get 2 glass screen protectors that you install basically the same way as this Whitestone and only costs $25.00 way cheaper than $70
And it comes with a lifetime warranty if you go through 2 of them whether they get damaged or dust on it they will send you a new one free
Whitestone will send you one if you damage it but will cost 12 bucks

I saw some videos regarding the installation but none after a period of
time... my undestanding is it is glass, the glass of the phone can
expand or retract... what will happen with the protective galss... does
it will begin to crack on the edges ?

Whitestone will not honor their warranty. I ordered directly from them. Screen protector cracked on edge. I bought the 2 pack so I removed and replaced it. 2 weeks later it happened again but this time it cracked the screen on my phone. Asurion replaced the screen on my phone but Whitestone will not replace screen protector. I filled out all the paperwork, sent in a copy of the repair bill, paid the fee required to send replacement and they will not honor their warranty and kept my money to pay for the cost of shipping the replacement. With? I have filled a complaint with the BBB.

Looks great but its very expensive, currently im using amFilm elastiskin, works great with scanner, feels and looks great, zero bubbles, self heals scratches, non expensive, fits perfectly with my spigen tough armour case, its not glass but it works just as good, second purchase, first one was for s10+, it lasted for little over a year, package includes 2 screen protectors, bought on amazon.

dont forget to film an up close shot of the edges and also cover the up close shots of finger prints on the screen but thanks for putting out these videos

I had 2 of these on my s10. First one, fingerprint scanner worked like 20% of the time then the 2nd one worked about 60%. Pissed me off so I just put on a film protector. Would rather deal with some bubbles and a scanner that works 90% of the time.

Whitestone is the BEST protector made. I have had one on every phone I have owned. Not one of them has ever had a scratch. Normally they tell you to turn the sensitivity up. Did they give you a second screen protector ? They used to.

Maybe the second set of instructions are for the kits that go out to those that are applying this protector to the FE model?

Why they just don't have the bridge, which you put the solution in, fixed in the middle of the phone to start with it. Seems like a completely unnecessary step and risk a mistake.

What a godawful polava.
As if fitting "normal" Screen Protectors wasn't stressful enough.
One day, someone will come up with a method of applying these things that doesn't result in bubbling etc. resulting in well over half (in my experience) of the damn things ending up in the bin, where they belong.
What a racket these people have going for themselves.
I'd like to take a Screen Protector, any Screen Protector to the source of manufacture and challenge anyone working there to install one perfectly first time, with no bubbles!
If they could, I'd happily part with my hard earned cash for the experience.😉😉

The bad thing with Whitestone Dome protector is that most arrive already broken in the box. Refunds and exchanges are a major hassle because they have zero customer service at the company. Emails are routinely ignored or replies to in a canned response. They have absolutely NO phone support. Completely worthless people at that company from my expirences.

Has anyone successfully had a replacement sent to them after it has cracked? Reading the warranty on the website it appears they will do what they can not to replace it based on the verbiage being used.

how weirds that, im changing the spigen screen protector to the Whitestone one because of the bubbles where the case lifts it off and we both have tech21 cases
