Hello! I just randomly found this video and dang your good at drawing Optimus! I can only draw dragons and all that. But I did draw Optimus Prime as a dragon at least! And I have to say your good at drawing and I’ve only been drawing dragons for 2 years but I’m surer good at it. Keep up the good art!!

Whilst i think the staggering amount of detail is amazing to look at I feel like his face is somewhat lost in all of it. I think it needed the same treatment as the top of his chest and the shoulders, more blank white planes to break up the details, especially on the mouth guard (I know it’s accurate to the movie design but I just don’t think it quite works in linework.

Just curious. Ive decided to invest in my drawing since i was naturally pretty good at it. How good would you need to be for a job ? What level is the expectaion for entry ? How much is learning after you get the position ?

Also the 1h "im not happy with it" hits hard. I always feel that one regardless of how good it is bc i know it couldve been better. For 1h tho leagues above mine.
And the putting to much detail in is also a huge issue...

Me I try to go half-cartoony half-realistic, with good details on my dragons / cats / dogs. My transformers, are uh.. okay. Drew Rodimus the other day, turned out great. But uh, yeah. I draw mostly cybercats & cyberwolves.
