How is it that pete and friends get their reputation, utterly annihilated through spider man’s antics but fish Robinson can publish a book and get a coerced shout out to make him a multimillionaire top 10 national books sales shoe in for Harvard through stealing Spider-Man clout.

This is the only Tom Holland movie I watched in theatre just because tobey Andrew and their villains rest Tom's arc is just mehhh...so so many plot holes and the story is interesting on paper and could have been made more interesting on the big screen but it feels like the shittiest Spiderman movie ever made. If it wasn't for the nostalgia I don't think this movie would have worked. I mean why is mcu's Spiderman so dumb in every movie? How come no-one is talking sense into him? Instead the sexy aunt encourages her nephew to do vigilante things? How is this even logical and acceptable? Sexy aunt's death is on her head no one is responsible for that peter brought the bunch of villains there because of sexy aunt. Throwing the world in danger just because you and your friends didn't get selected to the college you wanted is just dumbsterfuking idea and it shouldn't have been entertained during production but here we are

I just didn’t care for the ending. I know it’s the end of the trilogy. Part of the multiverse saga. I just think even though it’s predictable. The movie ending with acceptance would have been so much better than whole world forgetting. For me, it makes it feel kinda pointless. Outside of the last 10 minutes the movie was fantastic. Spider-Man was my super hero growing up. So I loved that and the old villains. I felt like they did everything well tbh. This is sort of opinion. Doesn’t it seem like in far from home they were setting Parker to take over as the iron man like figure? At least that’s how it felt to me. So to end with the forgetting part just makes no sense to me. I understand both sides to Peter Parker the character wanting to remain anonymous. But essentially at the end there was no character growth. To me, this trilogy ends at far from home. This movie while fun, just doesn’t carry that story the same.

If this isn't a good movie than your idea of a good movie is either non existent or too rare. I hate that if a movie isn't flawless its immediately deemed "overrated". You hated how everyone loved the movie so you went and tried to be different

Ok some of his points are valid but bro just sounds like a straight hater most of the things he said are just little gripes that are common in MOVIES like bro it's a movie it's not gonna be ultra realistic. And when all he says about the beginning is that it's full of jokes and first of all the jokes are funny so I'm not complaining that they're in there but also the beginning had alot of jokes because it was the exposition and didn't need to be a serious opening to the film, when the film get to the climax of aunt may dying that a little before that and all after that the movie was serious because the plot was pointed in a more serious direction.

I’ll never understand how Peter fumbled the bag so badly, Tony set him up to carve out his own future after his death, especially with the glasses and how Doctor Strange was just so casual with nearly destroying the entire Multiverse for the sake of a teenager who fucked up his personal life. His Unmasking should’ve been a new beginning for him, instead it ended up being pointless by the end of the movie.

Atleast you can see past Marvel's web of lies. This movie has so many plot holes it claims only pple who know who Parker is will myk way to their universe besides the characters you listed Electro got their and he never saw or knew who Spidey was. Not to mention Maigure claiming he never been in a team despite having worked with Harry to fight sandman and Venom. Tobey also claims Harry dead trying to kill him when he sacrificed himself. He literally jokes abt his friend saving him, claiming he died in his arms though he died on MJ lap

Yeah so… I’m watching this on december 2023 and have a lot to say about this movie. It was very fun to watch back when it released. It was the first movie I ever watched on a movie theatre after the pandemic so I think I enjoyed it a lot more because of that and nostalgia for the previous iterations of spider-man. But when I tried to rewatch it when it came out on disney+ I really felt disappointed.

Not only did this movie happen yet again because of Tony Stark, as the main problem gets kickstarted because Tony fired Mysterio and he doxxed Peter at the end of the last movie, but this movie fails to introduce a villain that has any connection to MCU’s spider-man or the MCU’s universe whatsoever, as all the villains come from other universes. They literally had to kidnap characters from their respective universes for this movie to work.

The fan service is great for the most part, but they also invented a problem that is nonexistent in the previous movies. That is that all the villains die in their respective universe.

Sandman and Lizard are prime examples of this. Sandman seems pretty chill at first when he’s introduced on this film, which means for him it’s been a while since his last encounter with spider-man in Raimi’s third film and gives the vibe that they’ve teamed up at least once so there’s no reason to think he died fighting him. I get that due to covid restrictions and schedule they couldn’t film the actor for his scenes on stage so they had to cgi him on his sand form; as they did also with lizard, but they’d have just said that his sand condition got worse over time and he couldn’t go back into his human form and that he died because of it after becoming pure sand. That would just solve that issue for him as well as for the lizard. They could have just said that the lizard took over Dr. Connors body for good and died during an off screen encounter with Andrew’s Spider-man. After all, they did say that he stop holding punches because he lost track of his values after what happened to Gwen.

Also I don’t get why they had to make Dr. Strange an antagonist in this movie. It seems rather off because they’re trying to tell me that the man who saw 14M possible futures to try to solve the Thanos crisis, couldn’t just see that what he was doing was wrong? He didn’t talk to Peter before casting his spell, he blames him for the outcome, he didn’t listen to him when he tried to convince him to do the moral thing regarding the given situation and just disappeared for half the movie because apparently math can beat magic?

Also, this all happened because Peter and his friends didn’t get accepted on MIT on their fist try. Like why is that a problem for them? At this point Peter has contacts on Stark Industries, with Hank Pim, Nick Fury and every other scientist that has a direct connection to the Avengers. He could have just asked Happy or Pepper to write a recommendation letter for all three of them or just straight up for a job for them as a personal favour.

Speaking of Stark Industries, wouldn’t Pepper Pots, the wife of Tony Stark and mother of his daughter at least try to act on Peter’s behalf after what happened with Mysterio? Tony retired from being Ironman after infinity war out of feeling guilty for Peter dying on Infinity War and this movie just ignores that Pepper would be on Peter’s side during all this nonsense unravels. If Tony was willing to give Peter the Iron Spider suit and Edith, I can assure that he and his company’d have defended him no matter what in this situation. Also, why and when did Tony put Peter on his testament? After Infinity War it wouldn’t make sense to write Peter’s name on the document because he was dead, so it’d mean that either Tony was pretty confident that they’d bring everyone back from the death during Endgame that he put Peter on his testament before retrieving all infinity stones from the past, or that he just edited his testament during the battle against Thanos to make sure Peter got Edith after his death on Endgame. Either option is ridiculous because of logic reasons.

Getting back in track with this movie, It’d have made a lot more sense for Peter to ask Pepper for help to get into MIT or for a job for him and his friends rather than go ask Dr. Strange for magical assistance, but Kevjn just wanted to rush the multiverse saga with this movie for some reason and I think that reason was Sony’s Spiderverse movies.

This movie is great on the first watch but it’s also filled with a lot of problems that become more and more apparent the more times you rewatch it.

One point here I’ve heard which I disagree with heavily is the idea only the villains came over. They are only the ones who made enough noise to be noticed. Even Tobey and Andrew weren’t discovered without the use of a spell. So let’s say Kirsten Dunst’s M.J. came over. How would anyone know? It would just be a confused, middle aged women in the middle of New York.
