Did Arnold Love Helga All Along?! Hey Arnold! | NickRewind

Arnold is kind to everyone so it's hard to say but i don't think Arnold liked Helga romantically in season 1, neither in season 2 or 3 however i think he slowly started to love Helga in season 4 and in early season 5 he was in love with her unconsciously (Arnold visits Arnie,Married etc..). It wasn't easy, Arnold had 3 other love interests and he was put off by Helga's rude behavior but in time she won him over.

Also i hope they gave the narrator a nice enough raise, she was so excited the whole time, it was fun to just listen to her.

Here's what I find baffling and confusing and that is Helga's complex and complicated behavior towards Arnold. One side is she's nasty and hurtful towards anyone at school. But the other side is that she's secretly in love with Arnold. But she won't come out and say it at all. Instead she gets nasty and hurtful towards him. Is this how she hides her true feelings towards him by being hurtful and nasty? And if Helga was a real person and I noticed that she was getting nasty and hurtful. I would have a good conversation with her and ask her the reason why the way she is. And try to help her overcome her nasty and hurtful behavior and help her become a better and kind person. Then maybe develop a healthy and balanced and loving relationship with her.

I kind of agree Arnold was super wise for his age. Helga while we'll being Helga was clearly one of the more strong intelligent characters so he seems to me attracted to stronger more confident smart women. IE Helga and Lila. Arnold prob sensed all along that Helgas mean attitude was not really who she was inside

The first two aren’t rlly good reasons bcs

1. Arnold was a toddler, and he’s naturally kind and caring towards anyone.

2. It’s showed later in the series that his parents gave him the hat, which is why it means so much to him. And the hugging, when I had lost something for a long time and someone found it when I was younger I wanted to hug them too and I wasn’t too fond of him?

I think Arnold liked her as a friend from the start and never hated her, he was annoyed at her being mean but never went as far as hating her. He started to develop feelings for her around the time of the first movie I believe but he definitely realized he loved her during the jungle movie, that’s why he kissed her

yeah it actually hard to be sure with arnold personal good heart nature of his but i do believe whatever
arnold himself sees in helga is kinda layered for arnold was not rise by his grandparents to see people

people business but his kid his either not going to think about it too much or think about but try to

for a long time close to how she liked him but you can honestly love someone deeply but never be in a
romantic relationship if they show interests in you like that or if they are a bully to you it's likely not worth it

arnold liked helga from the beginning is that helga acts sorta different ways from girl their ages growing up
yeah she's always been sorta mean to him after their early preteens she got meaner with him it makes
sense he didn't stop liking her but bother getting to close if she showed interest in him but arnold didn't

want to close but didn't want to deal with her mean action aimed at him or her odd issues with him i guess
arnold deep down know helga is a good person just odd in her own ways like his odd in his own ways

Arnold didn't always love Helga. He doesn't end up loving Helga until they get much older. The creator admitted that. Helga has a co-dependent relationship with Arnold because of the fact that her father ignores her, and her mother is an alcoholic. They date in the future, but then break up as teenagers when Arnold moves away. They eventually grow up and reunite and marry. The creator said that they were always meant to be together, but said he planned on them breaking up because Helga is too attached and needed to grow up (Too bad that show never got approved).
