How to Remove Fake Google Reviews in 2023 - The Ultimate Guide!

Probably the best answer I’ve seen online, quite frankly 99% of Google reviews are fake and they do nothing about it. I see a mass claim against Google in the future, it’s a gun fight in the ok coral, anyone can put anything.

I have 2 business and in one I got 100 1star reviews and had to close it and now on my second company I got 95 1 stars they are all fake on my google guarantee local service ads and when I submit a request to google they say they are not violating any google policies can you please tell me what I can do

Google won't let me access to my account and this always happens to me! I can't even recover my account, it's very frustrating.
No matter what I do, they can send it to me and I still can't access my account because Google still won't Acknowledge me and i'm really annoying with google I can't stand google because of this!

There's nothing you can do about a negative review.
Nothing at all, but report it.
More than not, they won't remove it.

This guy is already full of shit and I have little confidence he's going to share anything actually useful. I've responded, and NOT responded to fake reviews: doesn't matter. Google does nothing, because they don't GAF, and they don't have humans even reviewing any of these. The entire report and review process is a fucking joke.

It is unbelievable that google lets ANYONE review a business without any verification or vetting process. And google doesnt care AT ALL about fake reviews. Ive literally seen poor small business owners who looked at someone wrong in a supermarket, and then were given a horrendous review filled with lies. Google is an evil company.

I have 60 5 star reviews over the course of 2 year and this rude customer who I only talked on the phone gave a false 1 star review.

But when creating different accounts under google and you flag the review under those accounts, want Google know that it's u because the phone number you have associated with the account

its strange that google don't introduce upload pic, so the only way you should be allowed to leave a review if you were actually a paying customer and you upload the receipt to prove, everything else should not be considered.

I got a fake 1 star review. I reported it within roughly an hour. They denied the removal request. Being that google utilizes google review scores now to rank a business within a google search, this is detrimental. I see a class action lawsuit in the future as Google is directly impacting businesses with its refusal to remove fake reviews.

How about this senerio.... my business page was merged with a random business. Once Google unmerged the profiles they left me all the negative reviews from the other business and all my 5 star reviews were left on the other business. I have been on the phone for google with no luck. I have flagged and asked Google to remove since they aren't mine.. now my 5 star business is a 3.6 star shop

is there a time frame on getting bad reviews removed...I know a company received a fake review 3 years ago ( i.e. service business who did not service this customer ) can they still report and get the review removed? Thank you!

I've been trying to fight with Google about a gentleman that has been harassing my wife and her business. He's leaving threatening messages on her business answering machine. He has left over twenty 1 star reviews under 20 different accounts. We know it's him but because they all came in at the exact same time. We are a very small business and a very small town and there's just no way that you can get 20 reviews in a week and all pretty much say the same things directly towards her.

I appealed for my 1-time 1-star review to be removed and gave the copy of the reason as drawn out in Googles policy but they rejected it. What’s the point of being able to do that when they’re not going to do anything about it? Business owners are powerless and it’s not encouraging fair interactions. Not impressed.

How about a competitor asking friends to give bad reviews to my property? So it’s several bad reviews (not just one) that I’m experiencing from reviewers I never met… google should ask them to provide evidence that they tried my service

It is very wrong that google doesn't change a review if the owner responds. Google reviews are very unfair to the poor owners of businesses. Another nightmare to deal with. I have a small coffee shop with amazing coffee, bakery, services, and food but we get one-start reviews sometimes for very stupid things and usually the very young customers that don't understand the damage they can cause to a business. It is not right that a business reputation depends on stupid reviews from google. It has to be changed.

What would be the best option to flag the fake review for? (For example should I flag it for spam,profanity,ect) or does it not matter as long as all the accounts flag it for the same reason? Also do you have to flag it on multiple devices or can you make multiple accounts on the same device and this will still work?

I got a review for my car detailing business from someone that said “used once and did a great job. Tried to get them out to do more work and never replied to any texts or calls.”

It seems like a real review but I have no missed texts or calls from ANY customers so I’m confused on how to remove this. It’s also 1 star which lowered my rating to 4.8 stars on google.
