If Arne Slot does become Liverpool manager first thing he should do is drop armband away from VVD. He's awful captain with no leadership skills at all from VVD in recent game's when we've needed the most.

This team has been running on fumes all season and there are some players who are obviously not good enough if Liverpool want to remain a top European club..... we all know who they. I would be happy to keep VVD, his output hasn't been bad across the season, slight dip in form now as with the rest of the team. I think Edwards however probably looks at a player who has peaked, is losing value, lost some pace and had a big ACL injury and has 1 year to run on his current deal. Regardless of if he leaves or not we need another CB especially as we will be losing Matip too I suspect.

I think VVD will stay, if he was not captain then maybe I would feel different, I think his earlier comments got blown out of proportion.
