Exploring an ABANDONED 1902 Victorian Mansion | EVERYTHING Left Behind

The room that was originally a kitchen looked to me like it may have been turned into a barber shop/salon. That's why there were so many outlets and a drain in case of water overflow maybe????

I believe the room that you thought was the kitchen probably was one and it was stripped of appliances and cupboards when it was made into an office building.

"Victorian" is a term often used for old fancy houses, but technically, Queen Victoria died in 1901 and so this home would be Edwardian.

This seems to be a trend in most cities. Where I’m at there are beautiful homes a lot like this one but no one wants to buy for living because of the crime in the area.. instead a company buys it doesn’t really fix it just rents out “office space”. We are weak as a country because there’s clearly a problem but people are scared to address it and fix it instead they embrace the crime and ruin every single thing that is good.

Not much dust on anything ,are you sure its abandoned .it dosent seem like it It looks like it has been maintained .

The little lounging chairs look like maybe where a psychiatrist saw patients….

Maybe that room with the drain in the middle of the floor was used in the 1900's as a morticians room or butchering room to cut up their cattle and stuff?

Transom above doors. The antique record player is called a victrolla. Room with drain would have been a butcher room for fresh meat. They may have grown their own meat it was all tiled to wash it down after butchering meat.

The drain in the floor is called a drip dry. Washed clothes by hand and hung them up to dry.
