This looks really good, pretty convincing. By the way, have you guys ever heard of David Mitton? He's the director from the original Thomas the Tank Engine. He's basically the Steven Spielberg of shooting with miniatures, and he had a bunch of tricks for making it look more realistic.

that was amazing, but they forgot something about passenger cars falling down the river, in the real world the first thing falling down river are the trucks that hold the wheels due to they are not attached to the wagon frame they just spin freely at the tracks curve and hold the train weight.

This proves you can make much better special effects with less money. Now i want to see loads of films from the last 10 years remade with this style of special effects

Why cant hollywood do this????? instead of relying on CGI with EVERYTHING, and having to rely on super fast cuts, etc.

miniatures just look so much better than CGI imo. There is more human in it despite being equal human input (i don't know ow to explain it better lol)

Sorry, I know you spent greatly on the "making believe" effects with that maquette, but to the clinical eye, it doesn't convince me at all, real car trains doesn't behave like that when hitting hard objects, and also the bending of metals of heavy objects has to be present as part of the physics of the materials during stress forces that obligate structures to break into pieces and suffer stretching due to heaviness and violent movement!
Also the absence of passengers, therefore screaming and crowd swing inside the wagons is so obvious and innocent!
I know you have seen a real real train crash, so you definitely know what I'm talking about!
Still I sent you congratulations for your hard work!

This part of the movie was the dumbest when it came time for cruise to jump off, deploy his parachute and sail on for miles and miles. The train was literally like maybe, 10 stories high. He might have been able to deploy his parachute, but in the next few scenes, he's like miles high and very far away. They could have made it more believable.

Классная работа!...- Но(!) - вагоны выглядят вблизи слишком новыми(!)... и пустыми...- нужно было их слегка "покрыть пылью" а крыши слегка зачернить "сажей"(копотью) от паровозного дыма...и из трубы паровоза обычно идёт черный дым а не белый(!)...- белый дым(пар) идёт из боковых скул паровоза - внизу по бокам(!)...- это так замечания навскидку - без тщательного изучения - ну как-то так...- 🤔🙄😉
