imagine being the friend of the b17 crew that didnt make it.
Like you were screaming positive words and cheering them up to keep going but the plane suddenly just crashed a few metres of the runway

You know what, that Sound of Silence scene was probably the best thing i've ever seen from a video or film. i know its not like a million dollar film, but there's something about it that just makes it so good.

I wish actual matches in B-17s were this good these days... now, B-17s are just lone flying matchboxes that shed their tails like a scared lizard at the very sight of a German plane. I wish we could get a bomber formations official game mode

When they were landing and the last two planes were approaching I was imagining the main character on the not damaged one saying “it’s gonna be alright buddy, just hang on. Just a little longer.”
And the wing clips off
Other character: “oh my god, holy shit the wing came off we’re going down!”
Main character: “Get out! Get out of there!”
And the plane crashes
“NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!”
And he drops his head on the yoke, crying.

Saw this video when it came out as part of a warthunder video competition if I remember correctly. It’s stuck in my mind this long. Looked for it for two nights. I finally remembered “17”. Still love this video. Thanks!!!
