How to Erase and Factory Reset your Mac!

Ok so my iMac just says iMac when I go into the disc utility and I erase everything and I’m trying to re download the Mac OS high Sierra but it’s not working can someone help me

I fudged up hard...I erased the disk (Mac -HD) and then webt to reinstall, it got stuck on the window saying to continue installation.. (Before the agree window) ...so I restarted and of course it booted to the question mark. So I tried to boot into recovery mode and its stuck on a spinning globe with a timer. I'm freaking out! If anyone can please help me ...I need this computer to homeachool my kids during social distancing. I'm on an iMac withMojave system.

So it does require a password anyway? So how could people from the trade in department able to open my laptop without the password? I assume they have a different way of turning it on?

Hi, I have a little problem. When I want to erase the internal disk in recovery mode, it writes that "Mackintosh HD is not mounted" and I can't erase it... any solution for this problem?

Why does it say “could not create a preboot volume for APFS install”.

It takes me an hour to install it and on the last 2 minutes it says something failed
