This scene is fantastic! Mulder's rage slowly turning into doubt - First his steady angry gaze and then at the end, blinking as the reality of it all sinks in.

She had the entire series and would watch it long after the series “ended” I remember when the final episode aired she literally cried and cried that it was over. She got me into sci-fi shows and I got her into anime like YYH, DBZ, Kenshin, and Inuyasha….good memories 😭

You gotta understand people, this aired back in 1994! This scene — the writing ("Who are you to decide what's right?" "Who are you?"), the music, building as the camera slowly zooms in — was when I knew the X-Files wasn't just another tv show. It was something more. Something people hadn't really seen on television before. I already loved the X-Files while watching the first season. My love for it was validated, and multiplied, when I watched this scene for the first time.
