Your mum's gonna go mental using her pot for car work.
ОтветитьWhere is the radiator model on it?please
ОтветитьThat's not a full drain.
ОтветитьI broke the red plastic drain plug in another car. I wouldn't dare to unscrew it again. Afraid that it will broke because of rust or being plastic. Is there another metbod to drain the coolant like from the radior hose?
ОтветитьAwesome ill do this every summer ,have a nice day 😂😂😂
ОтветитьCan't believe there is such a useful function on the Vectra.. this must be where the engineers exhausted all of their user experience efforts
Ответитьnever new this existed not even sure if Haynes explaines where it is
ОтветитьThanks mate this helped me out.
ОтветитьGood job on not draining or flushing the block or heater matrix, a professional would be proud of you half-arsing it like that.
ОтветитьI have a 1.8 zafira, is this method the same and how many litres and does this method drain all the coolant, including whats in the engine?? Thanks dude
ОтветитьNew subscriber watching from Basingstoke 👍
ОтветитьI will be doing this later in the day, many thanks for the video.
ОтветитьThanks for that nice and easy - is it important to use the wife's best saucepan?
ОтветитьWhatever you do don't over tighten the drain plug. It'll snap off. It's just plastic.
ОтветитьCrap, what about water left in closed thermostat etc
ОтветитьThx, fast and easy!
ОтветитьThanks, but I'm going to need a pee after watching the fluid flow from the hose!
Ответить...... continuing from below, this is a good time to do a proper flush through the whole system including the heater, ( remembering to turn it on full ), using a quality radiator flush like Holts.
ОтветитьThat type of garden hose prone to kinks with three in the vid, blocking the flow when it needs to be as fast as poss to flush crud. The clear type is always better, and for the guy asking which way to turn the tap or valve, it’s there in the vid, clear as day. If it won’t turn take off the bottom hose.
Ответитьok, so you drained 4 liters from the radiator. What about the rest of the coolant that remains in the engine block?
ОтветитьWish all cars was this easy some dont even have plugs
ОтветитьI have a Vectra C where I need to let off the coolant. Some people say that the plastic-screw that is also shown in the video tends to break so it might be better to remove one of the big hoses on the radiator and let the coolant off that way. Anyone who can confirm that those plastic-thingies might break?
ОтветитьMy outlet hose from the water tank keeps coming off when I’m driving, i have tried a new hose and it still pops off (the white clip on 1) and don’t have a clue what to do anyone know what the issue could be cheers
ОтветитьHi, I’ve just done the exact same thing but now when re filling my coolant , it’s dropping instantly within 10 seconds? Not sure what to do . The cap was put back on the same way tightly
Ответитьeasy and straightforward and to the point many thanks
ОтветитьAre you meant to turn the valve clockwise or anti clockwise? Mine's stiff so not sure
Ответитьnice video, just what I needed to know cheers
ОтветитьNice 1
ОтветитьIs it 4 liters for Astra H?
ОтветитьI had a go using this video but I can't find the tap on my Vectra. I think I need to take the splitter off to get to it. It has become a pain.
ОтветитьThanks mate, very informative, straight to the point.
ОтветитьBut how do you refill it
ОтветитьThanks for that. A mechanic would charge someone 40 bucks for turning the tap & removing cap for 1 minute job.
Ответитьi love Opel's they have a very good quality long lasting engine.
