My current experience: it's garbage now.
ОтветитьCan I use the thunderbolt cable with a 3.1 USB type C port on my laptop for gaming?
ОтветитьAre these compatible with desktops too?
ОтветитьI know this is an old video but sometimes the quality of the cable that connects the laptop to the eGPU can be a bottleneck. Make sure it is rated for a high Gbps. If you want to go crazy, get fiber optics to have a seamless experience but they can get expensive (>$300).
Ответитьplease tell me if i connect RTX 4090 24GB EGPU with MSI Raider GE78HX 13VI how will be the result with high end gaming laptop
ОтветитьI would love to have one of these but it's expensive in Nigeria. Hopefully, you could do a giveaway to your fans someday
ОтветитьI have a Surface Laptop 4 with USB-C, but can I get a Thunderbolt Dock and connect that to the eGPU?
ОтветитьI saw a m.2 to PCIe x16 adapter with no power needed. ALSO, I would like to use a GTX1650 with no power supply required, do you think it will work?
Ответитьjust get to the point in your video
ОтветитьTen minutes to tell me another video would be the review...
ОтветитьGet a thunderbolt 4 egpu or build one yourself
ОтветитьHonestly if you even got a 6 year old p50 thinkpad and hook this up to it the quad cote processor in that thing is still super capable pop in a gpu into the egpu like a 2060 or 2080 and you got a legit gaming machine that is littwraly a portable desktop
ОтветитьNot gonna cut it in2023
ОтветитьThe footprint of the eGPU is about the same as a tower so nothing really gained.
ОтветитьLaptops are for work, portable work. I think if you are serious about size, just build an ITX PC. It's around that size but is a fully functional computer rather than an eGPU setup where you lose performance.
ОтветитьThis was a horrible review. He seems very distressed, almost hostage like. IMO.
ОтветитьIt's crazy to me that this tech is still not perfected. On paper it seems to make so much sense but the key, obvious use case (high power, temporary GPU upgrade for a laptop) still has issues due to how TB3 works. It just needs that little bit more work, there ideally should be no performance penalty from outputting to the laptop's screen for example.
Ответитьdu bist doch so nen trottel - seit wann sind die dinger zum daddeln ? das erklär uns doch mal mit deinem GAYMINGserbrech
ОтветитьeGPUs would be more mainstream if it wasn't for the fact that $300+ only gets you a damn case!
Ответитьwhy are you wasting 10 minutes of the viewers time with hot air, Adam?
this piece had practically zero relevant information about eGPUs.
The gpu cage remind me of my crickets fighting day
Ответитьyou soent 40% of the video talking about your personal life
Ответитьif you already have a laptop and pc you should get egpu case only
then you can use your own main GPU when you are traveling
I travel internationally frequently so size matters. I want to get a égpu but the cases are still too big, I like the idea of being able to use my laptop for work and also for vr gaming on laptop screen and on tv. Really versatile for me. Just expensive and a little on the big side for travelers
ОтветитьJesus Christ. This guy can put an elephant into sleep just by talking.
ОтветитьThat thing is bigger than a computer 😂
ОтветитьIf only he got to the point sooner 🎃
ОтветитьI wonder if there's an enclosure that'll fit my massive 3070 Noctua edition.
ОтветитьThe video is excellent, especially because you dedicate generous time to talk about your needs and how it led to your choice. Perhaps the title of the video could emphasize that?
ОтветитьAll we need is a phone that has windows. One that can go as big as a fold 4. This can be your daily driver to come home and plug it in to a eGPU on a large monitor.
ОтветитьHoly Moly this video is over 2 years old. Where does the time go?
Ответитьis that all the people do is game on a computer
ОтветитьI'm thinking about getting an EGPU for my Nuc. I'm curious, has anyone tried this on something like a Yoga gen 5? Or would that be a super ultra bad idea lol
ОтветитьAnother way to build a case out of any material and use it for the graphics card and get the hardware and a power supply to power it I did it
ОтветитьThank you for your feedback.
ОтветитьI'm surprised that EGPU´s haven't been more popular since a lot of people have both the needs of a laptop and a gaming computer and the EGPU should solve that without you having to buy a seperate PC.
ОтветитьCould this work for an aeo neo next pro
ОтветитьHow is it connected to the laptop?
ОтветитьIs the egpu compatible with a thunderbolt 3 adapter ?
ОтветитьI just found out these exist and then realised my rtx 3070 is the full power desktop one and if I bought an egpu house and card I'd be spending almost 1000 to get the same performance I'm getting now it really is crazy how far technology has come to go from needing an egpu if you had a less than premium experience and now you can get premium laptops with the full power desktop gpu it's just insane to think that we live in a time where you can get desktop replacement laptops yeah at a big price but I'm happy with the hardware
ОтветитьIn short, not a good buy! Thanks. I’m running a RTX 2080 Super on a Razer Blade Advanced. Sounds like as far as mobile I’m ok. I want to build 5 desktop PC’s in the near future. Thank for the heads up. I won’t buy 5 laptops and 5 eGPU’s now😂. Great video
ОтветитьDoes it not come with a psu????
ОтветитьI'm waiting for the test video of using eGPU & USB4.
ОтветитьDid this really need to be 10 minutes?
Ответитьgigabyte aorus rtx 3090 gaming box is still for sale in holland .
Ответитьupdate video?
ОтветитьWho tf buys an egpu for gaming??? It’s been working pretty good for me for 3D work
ОтветитьThis guy is crystal clear.. awesome job
