Do you need the power supply ?? What does it do ???
ОтветитьIt’s a XLR CABLE NOT A DXLR
ОтветитьI have the same setup and mine makes a constant static noise...even when not even turned on! WTF is wrong with it.
Ответить50% was the best
Ответить"I'm not sure how many volts, it's just a standard power supply"
"It's *48 volts so that may give you a clue*"
XD Great video! I'm going to be buying this soon :D and I like the Minecraft
Ha dxlr cable btw
Ответить$5 if you help me. If I buy the 48V Phantom PSU. Will I need anything else, like software on my pc or any other piece of hardware to make it work PERFECTLY????
ОтветитьHi I own this mic. Its not perfect but it punches above its pricepoint in which it sounds okay and is very good when eq'd. So if you wanna start a podcast or record music this is a great starter mic. So this is inexpensive and heres a good cheap way to start semi pro audio w this mic; a Computer , some sort of sound interface as the PC or apple is not good for sound out of the box. Focusrite Scarlett usb 2i2 is about a hundred dollars and includes 48v phantom power and balanced outputs to powered monitors or an amp. Its great for basic recording and work thru your DAW(digital audio workstation). Or if its just talking for a podcast.... Get the 48v power supply and a 1/4 to 1/8 inch adapter for the input. Download Audacity(its free) a recording program and your set to start your talkshow career.
ОтветитьHow did you change the mic sound percentage

Ответитьyou can get it all on amazon for around 38$ were talking the whole kit, the mic stand, the mic pop filter, and no you don't have to cover it with this if you don't want to!
ОтветитьIt's not 48v phantom power, so don't go around thinking it will drive every condenser mic.
ОтветитьOMG, MY EARS ON %100 :O

ОтветитьDoes this mic need a phantom power?
ОтветитьPower supply is 17.5V (IIRC), the box boosts it to 48V.

ОтветитьI think about 50% would be the normal. If you're far away, do about 80% - 100%
ОтветитьPlugging a condenser mic directly into a sound card is an extremely bad advice, it wont be powered and youll get an extremely low audio input, which you then have to amp digitally and youll get so much noise its not even funny. Please correct this advice.
Plugging a condenser mic as shown here is is not a good idea either, mainly because of the XLR to 1/8 jack and because the soundcard does a much poorer job at amping the signal than does an interface.
You can get a USB audio interface that will provide phantom power and which will also solve the XLR balanced to 1/8 unbalanced problem, since mic connects to it by XLR to XLR. Then the interface sends a digital signal to the computer and does the amping before sending the signal.
A very good and cheap interface is the behringer UMC22, and theres an even cheaper one, behringer UM2.
So do I HAVE to have the phantom power supply in order to use the microphone in an audio interface?
ОтветитьCan you do a video on how to set this all up
ОтветитьCan plug that dxlr-3.5mm straight into the microphone port on my pc?
ОтветитьOne Question Have you used noise reduction from audacity to reduce hiss? My BM 800 has more his than a samson c01. Very dissapointing
ОтветитьI live in sweden so the wall plug is wrong, and i dont seem to find any with the EU plug.. Anyone help please!

ОтветитьWell, I was curious as to whether you have removed noise in the background when you speak or if you just talk without removing anything with eg Audacity I would really like to have this mic and I talk a lot in skype so I just wanted to know if there is noise in the background when you eg talking in skype
I am a bit of a mic noob
Man...I just came from Podcastage! and I too learned a LOT about mics and how to run a podcast thanks to Bandrew, I recommend you the Geeks Rising channel...he has a weekly podcast there.
