I love New Vegas. It's my favored FO game by far. I like to use the Assault Carbine with its integrated AP. Burns through so many enemies, and I do hunt Death Claws with it.

Charging handle is in wrong position compared to new vegas. New vegas has a side charging handle (some ar-15 uppers are like this) wouldve reslly loved to see that side charging handle

nice but not the service rifle. The service rifle was a mashup of 3 different rifles: The M16A1, the Armalite AR-10, and the Armalite AR-15. the confusing bit is there is no charging handle on the service rifle found in the Mojave whatsoever. a true functioning 1:1 replica of the service rifle may never exist.

I found the reason why the three round burst doesn't work all the time: your gun's CND is low. You should get a weapon repair kit or go to a repair npc to get it fixed.

Fallout is a future world based on old 1950's sci-fi aesthetics and culture. So among many other things, I imagine Fallout's California was much more like the California of Govenor Nixon than ours.

I always hated the 3 round burst, with proper practice the full auto is much easier to use. 3 round burst firing 1, 2 or 3 rounds depends on where the cam was at the cycle when you switch to it.

Bit late, but a Service Rifle with AP rounds can penetrate Deathclaw armor. Go do the Mojave outpost quest for some of those.

Some small inaccuracies, the lower on Brandon’s rifle has rear buffer support where the game version didn’t, also the standard NCR Service Rifle didn’t have those lower markings only the unique legendary survivalist rifle variant did. Also the pistol grip not having the nub in the center similar to an A2 grip are just some of them. Then to be nit-picky the shiny bits could be more shiny.

Either way as a Californian myself that built an NCR Service Rifle as his first AR15 a few years back, I’m officially extending my approval. Welcome to the Republic Brandon. 👍
