When they gave a trophy 🏆 to everyone things got weird

I hate my mental health every day i just wanna try n try n i self harm on n on n i just can’t stop. i’ve been to so many places they don’t help

So what happened with the girlfriend? She just moved on after he died?

One thing that resonates with me from this video is when the mom suggests someone asks how that can help you feel better today. Just having someone extend their hamd to you like that means so much. Being depressed makes everything hard.

I know that this is just a fantasy and that no one REALLY cares, but if someone asked me what they could help me with today, I'd say, "Tell me that there's still things to look forward to in this life, because I can't see that there is."

My cousin passed away two weeks ago from suicide. None of this makes sense. I wonder what switched in his mind. Suicide is NOT the answer. Pls reach out if you’re feeling anyway 🥺

This is so sad and also may be a warning that when someone in your home is suffering from depression them having access to firearms is unsafe.

I attempted suicide when I was 16 years old because my ex at the time faked his death and made me believe he committed suicide. I loved him so much and I felt super guilty to the point where I couldn’t eat or sleep I thank god every day that I survived I never forget day had I taken more pills and my dad not have walked in on me I wouldn’t be here I’m so sorry Brandon and others didn’t get so lucky and I still don’t know why I survived and they didn’t but I completely understand that helplessness feeling. People no matter what age need to communicate. Us as parents don’t come with a handbook. We aren’t perfect but if our kids are suffering should talk to us😢

Lost 2 cousins to suicide my fisrt attempt i was like 7 years old i tried drinking pills lots of them ended up in a coma for a few days when i was like 16

This video is yet another that misses the mark. This issue isn't stemming from "not talking about it" or men being unwilling to be open about their emotions. Suicide has no hard correlation to getting better as these methods are applied. Since 2000, for instance, suicides have increased by close to 30%, the whole while mental health has entirely lost its taboo status. This clearly indicates an entirely seperate cause. Either that, or mak8ng mental health taboo again would literally save lives. Either way, objectively, it is the opposite of what is in this video.

I'm a suicide survivor after so many attempts, I've lost count.
I've not been hospitalized in over 5 years.
I either passed out, then woke up enough to yell for help, or was found before the pills had time to kill me.
I have bipolar disorder, PTSD, anxiety and fibromyalgia.
The mental pain outweighs the physical any day!
If someone wants to die bad enough, they will try to take their own life no matter what anyone does!
You have to be very watchful and attentive to even suspect suicide ideation.
If you know a loved one is depressed, especially if it's a child or teen, lock all OTC and prescription meds up.
Don't keep guns unlocked.
Women or girls usually try pills, but guys try hanging or shooting themselves.
Women and girls therefore survive more than males.
It's so unfortunate.
The best thing that has been a lifesaver is making a honest and truthful pact with my son who's grown now, that if I feel depressed, call him and call 911 right away.
Or call my doctor ASAP!
So far it's worked.
He's my only son, and 1100 miles away, but we stay close.
I'm so glad I survived.
I didn't really want to die, like most.
I just wanted the pain to stop.
So now I have a daughter-in-law and I'll be a first time grandma soon.
I'm glad to be around to experience all this.
I'm going to visit them next month!
I can't wait!
Things do get better.
It takes work and patience, but still someone on impulse will try suicide and succeed.
Know you are loved, even if I don't know you, because I've been where suicidal people are over the last 20 years.
Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem.
It is final.
No do overs.

I dk man ... i never understood the mentality behind it until I became one .... i can never articulate it but i can describe it as a curse, and i think that there are many types of it

Not every single one has the same reasons or the same pressure ....


I mean i feel like it is been decided by a higher power, i know i dont make any sense but it’s not a thing that can be measured its a curse it’s something enforced not by choice.... idk

I thank God for the police and rescue I wouldn't be here I overdosed pills tryed to get hit by car or truck was going to hang self. But if it was for help I wouldn't be here

I’ve tried multiple times even going as far as taking 100 mental health pills and Bp pills and I almost succeeded. Needed to be hospitalized 2 weeks and had multiple major seizures but I am getting better slowly and It’s been a little over a year since my last attempt. So I would suggest waiting until your old enough to even start to live your life and be with your family

All of you saying I miss you and all that shit. Where were you when they were alive? Where were you when they were asking for help? When they were struggling but you brushed it off. I just hope the biggest takeaway for someone who lost someone they truly cared about..that you start caring about everyone while they are alive because I guarantee they are looking down at you being a fucking hypocrite.

Weakness

The mom and dad are the reason this kid ended his life!!!! The mom created such a bad environment for the kid the kid would rather end his life than continue living with his mom. The mom didn’t care and the dad wasn’t there. The parents need to held accountable for putting the kid in such a bad environment

Things like this make me feel horrible for even considering it some days. I struggle with that fight a lot and that’s what actually brought me to watch these videos even if I’m ashamed to admit it. Seeing the impact it leaves on people in real life situations makes you rethinking everything. I’m not perfect and my life will never be perfect that’s something I guess I need to understand. It just seems like day in day out the same routine everyday drains my soul and leaves me deprived emotionally. Hopefully I find peace in my future as well as everyone struggling thank you for sharing your experience ❤. Rip.

My girlfriend died to suicide about 3 years ago... I don't know what I did wrong that day and I feel like I could have done better..... I feel like I failed everyone in my family,, and ever since ive become trans ive been told to kill myself :cry

Reallocate some funds from cops into mental health treatment

I think what’s most important is to really let your kids talk openly with mental health from a young age.

Some people appear to be very happy before they kill themselves.

I wanted to do it many years ago, but I didn’t do it not to hurt my father. I was very sick back then now I’m on medication and when I have intrusive thoughts like that, I make them go away.

I used to be so depressed that it's unreal to me now. I would harm myself in so many different ways and I was so pitiful. Finding the right people to talk about it to and dropping those who make you feel down is a big part in feeling better. Stay strong.

Always ask is there anything you want to talk about, that I can do. Never what is wrong

Schools need to teach things outside of subjects. School is for learning, so we should learn more important things, instead of HAVING to find out at some point in your life about whatever topic.

I wish my country at least tried to care about mental health. I am going through depression and I have become suicidal, I just wish I had somebody to help me carry the weight on my shoulders.

I’m doing better and now 32 turning 33 in one week in this world everywhere and I mean everywhere we need to take care of this immediately because now in 2023 it’s becoming a crisis for men

Im also someone who has been suicidal since a very young age. The times I’ve attempted have all scared me and made me want to live.

If you’re ever reading this, just know it’s not you. It’s not that we do not love our family I have a daughter and a girlfriend who both love me.

There is this empty feeling, this put on our stomach in our chest. The cloud that stays in your mind that sometimes goes away. Some days you feel on top of the world but that cloud always seems to come back that feeling of I want out, I cannot bare another minute being lucid.

Even with those failed attempts and having realizations that feeling always comes back. I’m going to push as long as I can for my daughters sake I do not want her to live with that over her head and have that feeling of “did my dad really love me, did he do this because of me?” Or any of those feelings.

Just know it’s not you or anyone else.

I had lost one of my closet best friends to suicide in January of 2021. And I still have to deal with friends and family telling me that “ it was her choice,” or” she made that dumb decision herself.” And even now I still think about her everyday knowing that I will never graduate with her, or go to her birthday, or hug her.

Yeah, sure, open up and tell people how you're feeling. At best they'll tell you they don't care, at worst they'll call the cops, throw you in the nuthouse, and shove pills down your throat until the insurance money runs out.

Everyone always says "I wish they would have told me." Why? You wouldn't have done anything. You people never do. You either tell us to shut up and go away or you lock us up in prison.

That's why people like me want out. Nobody actually gives a shit about us. You can whine and opine all you want, crying "I wish I'd known!" but we all know you would have done nothing. Nothing helpful. You people are the reason we want out. You're uncaring and unconcerned with the suffering of others. You want to blame it on "mental illness" but that's just a convenient scapegoat for you to blame anything but yourselves.

If the world actually cared, if you people actually gave a single, solitary fuck about anyone other than yourselves, if the world wasn't filled to the brim with selfish, narcissistic shitheads, maybe people wouldn't want to kill themselves. But no, you people just keep patting yourselves on the back and pretending you're such nice people. You just keep on going with your useless platitudes and worthless advice. The problem won't go away until you learn.

How 14 year olds have access to guns is honestly beyond me

Yeah... Seriously... Please stop asking what's wrong with us. Most of us don't know. We want to understand what we're feeling and help you understand too, but we can't put it into words. It only pushes us more into a corner and make us feel even more hopeless...
