Had no idea these existed before seeing this video. Thank you. They're available at Walmart for a good price. At one time there was a version in a mustard sauce that was very good!
ОтветитьI LOVE fish and grew up loving even sardines! 😂 I will love this! Thank you for the tip and for your channel! I love the scripture at the end!
ОтветитьI wish I was your neighbor or apprentice! 😂😂😂
Ответитьseveral years ago, because I love sardines I decided to try the kipper snacks. I was very disappointed. They had an extremely high salt content, and I am not a salt person. Therefore I've not eaten them since. I still love sardines, however I don't eat them at home as my wife doesn't tolerate the smell. I rea;;y enjoy your very informative videos as well as your teaching the word which so many people need right now, Thank you for being a blessing.
ОтветитьWhat about spam?
ОтветитьWe don’t have kids anymore because they are all grown up too lol 😂
ОтветитьWe have a lot of great 👍 food too lol 😂
ОтветитьThank you for another great nutritional canned food to stock!
ОтветитьI can’t remember what it is specifically but I looked into these a few years ago. I read the label and it said it may have trace amounts of toxic chemicals. If it wasn’t this brand. It was another brand oval shaped canned fish. I know the BPA liner isn’t good for you. I think it has trace amounts of mercury and arsenic. I tried googling it and it seemed to show that there are trace amounts of dioxins and PCB. I’m finding we can’t run from everything. Everything is toxic it seems. As long as you’re eating it in case of emergencies. I gave up spam because the van is lined with BPA and has high amounts of sodium nitrate/nitrite. Sodium nitrate/nitrate is directly connected to elevated risks of heart disease and cancer.
ОтветитьOkChrista just because you are a sister and honest and I love sardines, I will try kippers although I must say I am not thrilled about it. I will let you know how I do with them. Thank you!
ОтветитьI haven't been on here in a while and I must say lady you get prettier every time I see you. Thanks so much for the info. Looks like we may need it more now than ever. God bless.
Ответитьthank you i'll try it.
ОтветитьWhen a liberal says, "What is a woman?" .... I'm giving them THIS channel as a pure definition! She is a pure WOMAN and extremely attractive inside and out! I will try this kippered herring and I think I'll enjoy it because I DO love fish!!
ОтветитьThank you ! I have learned a lot from you over the years. I love your content. Your soothing voice and great personality makes for a very enjoyable experience. I also appreciate you sharing your faith and reading from the Word of God. 🙏🙏❤️❤️
ОтветитьWhat about canned Mackerel???? I had it fried in patties long years ago but when I decided to cook a can of it myself, the way it looked made me unsure of it, but the ones I had cooked came from a can and were really good. So what should be discarded from a can of Mackerel to cook it?. But I will eat Salmon straight out of the can.
ОтветитьI would eat kippered fish in the tins when I was deployed at sea for months on end. I love it and it was always available in our ship's store because not many others knew what it was. It is satisfying and tasty.
ОтветитьI eat sardines a lot but never tried zippered herring. I actually like my fish to have fishy taste. What's the point of eating fish that doesn't taste like fish? Fish should taste like fish and beef like beef.
ОтветитьNo thank you! But you look lovely today!
ОтветитьI can't wait to try it.
ОтветитьGod bless y’all girl
ОтветитьThanks for this
ОтветитьThis is soooo good!!! Great protein too. Hope many will try it. Great prep--thanks!!
ОтветитьAfter seeing one of your earlier videos on kippered herring,❤️ I bought both of the versions you're showing in this video and we did love them. I now have a stack of them in our pantry. Thank you for introducing them to us.
ОтветитьThanks for posting.
ОтветитьNope no fish of any kind
ОтветитьAwesome! Kipper snacks! Love them...I've been buying up sardines too...
ОтветитьMeanwhile this lady is getting paid by these companies..
ОтветитьJust recently found your channel. Love your spirit. Thank you for sharing all the wisdom you have gained about prepping. Keep up the good work. God bless you as you share the Word also.
ОтветитьYou should do.really good sardines in water. They have in oil too but the water ones aren't as sslty as olive oil
Much healthier than tuna. Not real fishy either. Loaded with Omega 3s. I like the Seasons brand as they are sustainably fished no GMO even the cans are better
If I wasn't such a fussy kid before an adult I would had been eating sardines over tuna decades ago!! My dad ate them my mom even cooked fresh ones for him. They ate the horrible Bumble Bee brand and a different brand but they didn't know better like we do
Love kippered herring. Atlantic Mackerel is also a great canned fish choice. Low mercury and healthy.
ОтветитьNope
ОтветитьRipoff: Don't order these Keystone cans of meat by mail!!! Most of the cans will arrive dented & unsafe for long-term storage. I know, been there...
ОтветитьDon't forget the skin on smoked herring also from Polar. I have been eating these for years and I agree with you. They are a great comfort food. I usually enjoy mine with Japanese rice and pickled vegetables. Great and satisfying meal.
ОтветитьAdd a Can of those to hot rice n mix together to make a big meal.
ОтветитьBut then I’m scottish
ОтветитьNooooooo! I want some nooooow! Love kippers
ОтветитьLove kippers
ОтветитьTuna casserole is more popular. Tuna, noodles, cheese, cream of mushroom soup, milk and peas. Delish!
ОтветитьSmoked Herring, Sardines, Tuna, & Salmon, each has the needed Vitamins & Minerals.
Smoked Oysters are a great treat.
Canned Chicken, Beef, & Ham, are good to have like you say Christa.
A person can build up a decent food storage just by buying a few extra items each time they go shopping. I think that you mentioned that in one of your other videos.
Keeping our Lord in Heaven & His Son Jesus Christ in one's life will bring great blessings !!!
Keep up the great job that you do Christa !!
I will give it a try
ОтветитьHave always eaten kippered snacks. Sop up the juice with a piece of crusty bread. I am a vegetarian for the most part BUT living in Florida with the threat of HURRICANE SEASON every year I always have “PREPED” storing canned meat and fish and canned beans and canning jars filled with dry beans, pasta, flour, etc. Doing a lot more now because I am not comfortable with the threat that the electric grid could go down. PREPSTEADERS has been a favorite source of new ideas... Now preparing to grow my own vegetables and fruit. Already have an olive tree and a pomegranate tree in the yard. I live in Hernando county and my friend has a place near by called THE OLIVE GROVE where they grow, sell, press and teach about olives because the climate is perfect for them and the orange groves are dying off. By the way the even hold craft classes and concerts there. Check it out! Google it.
ОтветитьI love Polar brand kipper snacks 👍👍👍...also King Oscar brand bristling sardines...my grandkids also like them...especially with saltine or Ritze crackers. Another thing I keep around in large quantities is pre-cooked bacon (CMMG Tactical bacon 🥓 is awesome 😋😋😋) and packaged pepperoni 😁...I really enjoy your channel’s content especially you end in prayer 🙏👍🙏👍
Ответить"Yummy looking." If you say so. Maybe it looks better in-person, and its appearance on my end is a trick of the camera...but both of those look disgusting to me. Not gonna' say you're lying or anything, I've encountered plenty of foods that looked like literal poop, or other things equally unappetizing...but were absolutely delicious. So I know looks mean little. Even so...
ОтветитьThank-you for reminding me of this wonderful food! Always excellent valuable information. Such a lovely lady, thanks so much!
ОтветитьChicken. tuna fish, salmon, dried beef, herring, kipper snacks, ham, spam, oysters, beef stew, soups
God Bless you
Those kippers from Germany with ready made sauce are excellent and CHEAP. Widely available at Dollar stores and Aldi.
ОтветитьI've restored beef jerky into beef slices for stews by soaking the jerky in clean water for a day or so. Change out the water several times. This method was typical for salted cod.
ОтветитьDried beef is almost dangerously salty. Use it for flavoring more than a meat to sink your teeth into. You could try soaking it and replenishing the water until alot of the salt is out. For each meal that has lots of salt serve a dish or drink that has lots of potassium to balance out those minerals.
ОтветитьHow are the nutrition stats? Big omega3s?
