I use to slide down laters all the time working rigs
ОтветитьWhat about any game that allows the character to go without food water and going number 1 or 2 or sleeping. some games do one or two as entertainment but never out of necessity or to survive, where a character gets sluggish if tired. Last of us did a good job of resource management of making you use items to move forward like if your injured you have to patch yourself up or risk dying, or is overcome with fear and cant move forward Amnesia had a great fear symptom where too much fear caused him to hallocunate until he calmed down or, red dead redemption where you rest and wake up refreshed the next day.
ОтветитьRdr2 could have its own video on this.
ОтветитьFor me it's limited space in inventory management, such like Stalker or Resident Evil.
ОтветитьI love the Silent Hill maps
Ответитьi don't remember which game, but you get splinters if you slide down ladders in that game
ОтветитьIf you are talking about realistic loot mechanics you should mention Fallout 1 and 2. If you called an arms merchant, you got the entire inventory.
ОтветитьI first found out about sliding down in igi 1 from 2000
ОтветитьThe entirety of rdr2
ОтветитьFalcon! Falcon! Falcon! Falcon!
Ответитьwhat was the first game
ОтветитьDestructible environments and you don't show Siege?....why do you hate Siege at Gameranx?, it always gets overlooked on this channel.
ОтветитьAn amazing example of a very underrated game that has long had enemy dismemberment WAY before Doom Eternal starting doing it is Shadow Warrior 2. You can slice enemies into slivers and chunks and man is it FUNNN!
ОтветитьI hate when they add something realistic like needing to eat or refuel your car but you need to refuel your car literally every 5 minutes .
ОтветитьA great example for all points is rdr 2
Ответитьmercenaries 2 was awesome 👌
ОтветитьRDR2 has good fire mechanics too
ОтветитьBro did everything he could to avoid mentioning red dead for that map segment.
Ответитьfor #2 I suggest Warframe, online game that has swords, axes, all kinds of melee weapons and depends on what you're using its fun and realistic, like cutting an enemy in half with a sword
ОтветитьSplinter cell is so good
ОтветитьLedge grabbing super far fetched and pretty unrealistic brevverand.
ОтветитьThe Fire propagation in Far Cry is probably my favorite, but I've also been around since Far Cry 2 so I'm knowingly biased 😅
ОтветитьNobody's talking about the horse balls? No? Okay
ОтветитьGhost of tushima also has cut mechanic
ОтветитьCSGO is proof that ads is not necessary to make a great fps
Ответитьafro samurai was also a game that you could cut people into what size chunks you want lol
ОтветитьNo one actually slides down ladders. Try it one time and you will understand why.
ОтветитьMedal Of Honor had aiming down sights before COD did.
ОтветитьI always thought it was weird that you can’t pet any of the CATS in FALLOUT 4. There’s speculation that they aren’t actually cats, since cats NEVER appear in earlier games, and they’re just EVERYWHERE in FO4, and not petting them only adds to that idea, IMHO.
ОтветитьFalcon: “how wordy should this intro be?”
ОтветитьI need more games with destruction, fire mechanincs and petting animals
ОтветитьYou should mentioned Assassin's Creed games for no.9
ОтветитьIm so surprised for the Number 2 spot they didnt look at dead island 2. In that game if you slice across a zombies chest with a machete you actually see that cut from it. It also makes cutting off limbs so cool in that game.
ОтветитьIn old Thief games actually guards were somewhat looking into direction where they saw/heard you. For that times, AI was great. Passing information between guards was somewhat random, probably to get a feeling that they were unsure what they have seen.
You might have got the feeling that guards are tracking into your location, since sound was very important.
I know not completely realistic, but... as for 90s there was nothing more realistic.
Another realistic part was map - it always looked as drawn by hand from obserwation or based on description from someone else, or literally taken from some museum. You could even make notes on it, which was great!
The problem is that highways go through neighborhoods but don’t benefit them in any way - they take up a ton of space but their only use is to allow drivers from one way to fly over or under or through the neighborhood to some other destination.
ОтветитьIts amazing how many small details and all round info Falcon know about games, I like to listen to him and can resonate with most of them, just love it !
Total gaming lover channel :D
I like the gaming mechanic where if you shoot or just wound an enemy, the injury you have them shows up on their body and stays there whereas in other games you wound them and their bodies look completely unscathed
ОтветитьLol you watch or read fire force.
Ответитьin dl1 if you cut a leg off it can make a foot eater
ОтветитьGotta disagree with ADS unless the game doesn't have a crosshair. At the typical ranges of engagement of a video game, "hip fire" (which judging by the first person view is actually shoulder fire) should be fine. So all it really accomplishes is forcing you to slow down if you want to shoot something. (And in CoD you're either sprinting or ADSing, so what's the point of even having hipfire?)
ОтветитьThe trouble I have with destructible environments is that you inevitably have the case where you can destroy something like a steel reinforced concrete structure but that darn wooden bench refuses to die. Or similarly, in GTAV, you can knock down and destroy a steel lamp post but a small bush is indestructible.
