The Outlast Trials - Gameplay Walkthrough (FULL GAME)

It's another boring hide/escape/run type game on rails. I hate being chased all the time with scripted gameplay. Give us weapons instead of medkits and let us kill the bad guys. This game is all jump scares and nothing else. Dying in games these days is meh.

Idk if you know this or not, but there's a final trial you can unlock. You just have to do the challenges, which gives you a different map.

This game looks like hot garbage. Imagine thinking turning a single player horror game into a multiplayer game would be a good idea. The mechanics look awful as well. A tired mechanic, really?? I'm sorry but if you're running for your life, natural adrenaline is going to kick into your body so hardcore, that you would forget you're tired, and you'd be able to run essentially until you pass out. Not like this trash. Get spotted, run for like 15 seconds, then you're halted to a crawl. Lol what a joke.

Also why are batteries that large, draining that fast? Those things are the size of a small car battery. They'd easily last hours, yet they drain in minutes. Outlast really needs to do away with the battery mechanic. It just doesn't work, especially if they are spoon feeding you replacements all over the place. So what's the point of a drain mechanic? Just to be a pain in the ass? Nice. What they should of done is just have your night vision last forever, however have enemies with EMP attacks that knock it out for a bit if you're caught. That would give more incentive to be stealthy. And would be way more interesting to play around.

Finally these, "can't defend yourself games," need to be retired or evolve to be more realistic. It's just so dumb, that you just sit there and take it. I'm not saying add guns to the game, but like why can't we pick up objects and throw it at enemies that are charging us? Like the glass health kits should have the option to be used to defend yourself. Again, if I'm pushed up against a wall, I'd throw punches, and whatever is around me at whatever is attacking me. Even if it's supernatural. Also giving players the choice to use glass health potions to either heal you, or as weapons to defend yourself, creates another interesting choice the player gets to make. Do I risk taking a bit of damage to save my health kit for later? Or do I throw it this thing to buy time to run away and hide? Much more interesting than, "Oh he cornered me, I'm going to take 1/4 my health. Then he's going to be in a victory animation that will give me a few seconds to run away." They all do this. It's just so bland and uninteresting.

Based off these early access trials, this game isn't looking like it's going to do to well. And honestly I think that's for the best. This idea should of never left the brainstorming sheet in the writers room. Yet here we are. Let's hope this game doesn't kill off the franchise.

This game does deliver on atmosphere and tone. Like it's not gonna shit myself scary. But the psycosis and the skinner man appearing..........shit it got me a few times. Definitely worth 30. I just wish there was a separate lobby for mics. Cuz why are you playing co-op without a mic.

Hi I don't know if you noticed but you don't have to find a hiding spot basically all you got to do this go inside a Darkness and then just squat down and stand still until they pass by they can't see you in the dark love you make a lot of noises and they go try to track you down

I died 5 times right at the end because i couldnt figure out how the timer worked, it turned out it ticked to 0 right as i was entering so it made me think i was doing something wrong

Orphanage is the best trial in terms of atmosphere imo, it's also the one with the most replay value since Mother Gooseberry is arguably the most interesting antagonist in the Trials.

I still remember the whistleblower run you did. The dreaded saw scene still haunts me.
