As the title suggests, the food originated in Babol, Mazandaran Province, northern Iran.
This food is prepared using a mix of meat, peas, and aromatic vegetables from the north. Unique vegetables such as Eryngium Planum leaves, Peppermint, and Froriepia Subpinnata are used, giving this food a pleasant aroma and making it taste distinct from other Shami Kebabs you’ve had so far.
Because of its nutritious ingredients, Baboli Shami Kebab provides much energy and keeps you full for hours.
This meal, in my opinion, represents an artistic combination of meat and aromatic local vegetables that will make you instantly fall in love with it once you taste it.

🔵Ingredients for 10 Shami:
10 gr Dracocephalum
20 gr Froriepia Subpinnata
20 gr Fenugreek
20 gr Mint
20 gr Garlic Chives
150 gr Coriander
20 gr Ouji or Khanesh (kind of Pennyroyal)
100 gr Allium Iranicum (Iranian Leek)
20 gr Eryngium Planum Leaves
150 gr Parsley
300 gr Lamb
300 gr Onion
100 gr Chickpea
3 Medium Potatoes
2 Eggs
