ОтветитьThank you so much for this video. Very helpful and well explained.
ОтветитьI notice you didn’t install xorg is it included in plasma group or nvidia ?
ОтветитьDude you knocked this install vid out!
Ответитьyay
ОтветитьBest Archlinux installation guide I've seen... and I've seen a lot. Thank you
ОтветитьSeven minutes and his is still talking. Not for me.
ОтветитьGreat video. One thing missing by the end (on my attempt) was no file manager. Had to add dolphin via terminal. Discover doesn't work, as it complains about "no application back-ends found", so perhaps those could be included in the package list during the install steps?
Ответитьthank you so much
ОтветитьBro can you please help me out get audio working on Hybrid System (Intel, Nvidia)

Kernal modules: snd_hda_intel
Dear teacher,
Could you tell me why this function no longer appears in the new versions on archlinux.
In dolphin, network had a very useful function which was to add network folder (ftp, sftp, webdav)
It just doesn't show up anymore, could you confirm?
thank you so much this helped a lot
ОтветитьForget about Etcher go with Ventoy it's dope ;) Just copy your ISO's onto a Ventoy prepared pendrive, you can have a lot of ISO's at once! Even Windows.
Ответитьi do arch-chroot /mnt and it says failed to run command /bin/bash: no such file or directory :(
ОтветитьDude you saved me!! I have a laptop with both nvidia and intel gpu and other installations keep having boot issues. Thank you!
ОтветитьCan you make a .txt or pdf of all the commands you ran please🙏🙏
Ответитьmany tutorial said cfdisk is easy but gdisk is far more better.
ОтветитьI find Arch simple and easy to use!
ОтветитьSir.please tutorial install gentoo.Pls
ОтветитьThank you so much .love u
ОтветитьHoly ** :D you are like a younger version of the guy in LinuxTV - I like you both a lot. Best Linux channels!!!
ОтветитьThank you for mentioning `iwd` during the pacstrap step. If only I had watched your video earlier!!!
ОтветитьTried to install Arch last time spending one hour, but got GNOME along with a lot of games even if entered commands to install KDE. Didn't know how this could have happened. Before the installation, I had used Manjaro for over two years. All of a sudden, I was out of Ethernet connection but got wireless. Tried openSUSE the Ethernet was good, then switched to openSUSE.
ОтветитьBrilliant, clear, easy to follow, with a lot of pausing the video to type in the commands... Very happy
ОтветитьHey, thank you so much for your video. Your explanations are very helpful throughout the complete installation. However, could you please tell me the difference between the "sudo systemctl reboot" and the normal "reboot" command itself? What if I just use "umount -R /mnt" and then "reboot", I mean, does it make a difference? And, should I use the "umount" command before reboot in your case (after the "sync" command)? Thanks in advance!
ОтветитьIs this what you do when not making movies? j/k You must get that alot. SRY DUDE
ОтветитьI don't know if this is happening to the others, but on the wifi network when about 10 minutes the computer freezes and I have to restart it.
This does not happen in the wired network.
systemctl status NetworkManager
warning: no upstream servers configured
I don't know if it has anything to do.
I look forward and thanks for the return
respect
Ответитьi got
grub-install: error: /boot/efi doesnt look like an efi partition

I have ryzen 5 3600( no integrated graphics) and rtx2060.. i was installing Arch in it... everything was smooth until I executed "startx"...it was showing error...

ОтветитьI beg to defer about the archlinux community
Just recently in the archlinux telegram group, I had an issue with kde whereby the recent update broke my arch such that all gifs generated by ffmpeg and/or gifski would just stop animating after 1 frame (if anyone has any solutions, please please help me) - in my screenshot I left my swap in it accidentally
The first thing someone pointed out was - not my problem, not anything related; it was on my swap.
1.”Why do you need...why do you have 16gb swap file?” as well as (yes, all on the same day)
2.”IM FUCKING GOING CRAZY, why does everyone make such a big Hoo ha when it’s just a literal change in package name”
No, I’m not joking - he went berserk because one of the update was that the update asked me if I wanted to change the name for one of the dependencies that was renamed. Apparently it is valid for him to go berserk on me because...I accused that package of being the big problem when i had no choice but to Guess - given that I had nothing to work with
NOTHING, no logs as well
Oh yes, some fucks asked me to “read the fucking manual”
If you're flashing an ISO on Windows, I recommend Rufus.
Ответитьawesome video. i have been trying to install arch for 2 days and this saved the day. being up to date helped me a lot. thank you so much, i'm going to recommend this to my friends as well.
Ответитьum I did eveything, and on the last step when I rebooted it went right back to the arch Linux install.... HELP
ОтветитьAfter successfully Installing Arch linux ( GDM).
When i rebooted the system the login screen appeared. But after login there is no icon and only show blue screen.
Help! HELP!
Once the installation is finished and I boot into the system, is there something I need to do in terms of configuring iwd and networkmanager or dhcpcd? I'm able to connect using iwd in the terminal but I can't display an ip. I can't ping websites, or download packages from the terminal. Thank you for the video!
ОтветитьThanks, Nice video, How to install ArchLinux when you have hybrid video card Intel/Nvidia?
ОтветитьI do a minimal debootstrap installation with Debian in a old netbook.
ОтветитьNice installation guide. This is the guide I wish I had when I started with Arch linux 2 months ago.
ОтветитьHi, thank for this useful video. I have an old computer 32bit processor. I want to install a Linux distro on it. Would arch Linux be a candidate? I realize KDE plasma wouldnt work, maybe a.lightweight graphical display as an alternative? Thanks
