Does AC need to be in high voltage? Can you convert 12v DC to 12v AC?

I have many transformer of 12 v single
Not 12+0+12
Only 12v
Give me the idea to make 220v inverter

well interesting and good job...
how about transforming 220v DC into 240v AC,i should specify that the 220v DC i am talking about comes from a generator i've built myself, and it generate 220vDC constantly.

A TANK circuit is not equal to an inverter!

All you have is an oscillator with no control over the voltage, current and frequency of the output. As well, any changes to the load on the output will alter the conditions in the circuit resulting in highly unstable and unusable output. (...and there are many more issues to making AC power from this 'inverter' (tank) circuit.

Now, I must admit using the DC motor as a switching circuit, is simple and clever way to do the switching, but you still need to tightly control the rotational speed of the motor/switch to get proper and steady 60Hz AC . So unless you have some idle family member with superb timing to manual turn the motor, you need some other way to achieve this. That likely entails some sort of 555 timing circuit and/or arduino.... so why not skip the DC motor as switch and just drive the MOSFET with the timing circuit. Yes, you could use an AC motor to drive the DC Switching motor... but then what's the point of making the inverter?

Could a neon lamp be used as the auto switch. Using it like a spark gap instead of the motor?

This is not an inverter. It's a dc/dc converter. In fact it's a (primitive form of) boost converter.
Inverters invert the voltage from dc to a.c. This circuit boosts dc to a higher level. There is no a.c. production with it.
This circuit, as shown here, working with moving contacts, is the classic ignition circuit for internal combustion engines (cars, motorcycles) using gasoline fuel. This circuit produces the ignition sparks on the spark plugs.
Of course the coil and the capacitor have different values and construction as well.

Hello my friend. In WW2 they used motors that ran off of high voltage high frequency. They used these because they collected electricity from the atmosphere wit balloons and antennas. If you have an email I would be thankful to be able to write you an email concerning what I have been developing. Here is another question. If I use a 6,000 volt neon sign transformer can I bring this voltage down to 120 volts through the use of multiple spark gaps. It seems this way in plausen's patent of utilizing atmospheric electricity. I can explain this more with an email. thank you my friend.
