Merch By Amazon Title And Descriptions

Hey, thank you so much for this video. My designs had been rejected 6 times on Merch since I got approved and wasn't really sure why. After watching this video today, I submitted another design and needless to say, it is now live. You really helped me today and now I can continue to upload more products. Thank you again!😁

Whenever I upload my designs they are visible for around a day, then amazon seems to hide them from the searches, but they're still on the site because I can get to them from my dashboard but I guess no one can actually find them, no idea why as I'm not doing anything wrong, keeping to copyright free niches and that

For those in the US: Keep in mind that RedBubble does not give you a royalty!! Instead, they list you as "the business" which means you yourself are the one "printing physical products" which means you probably have to get a state tax license, collect state tax for your home state, and then collect and submit tax for every county in the US, once you sell a certain amount in other states. You then forever have to quarterly tell that state what you sold, even if it's nothing, or they fine you. Amazon Merch is actually royalties, so they handle all the taxes. I cancelled my Redbubble once I realized this. In some states if you sell even 200 items (let's say $1 each stickers) you then have to collect and pay state tax (every COUNTY in that state has different rules and ways to submit it and tax rates), which all have different rules, which is not worth it if you made only $200, in my opinion. Of cousre ask your lawyer/tax attorney etc., but this is my understanding of it...

What I usually do is take the title and put it in the brand but switch up possibly the order or I add another key word in there, with the bullet points I sometimes go to merchtitans and look up keywords from say RB see what are similar. Like say I am doing a womens feminism type t shirt, ill put the title and brand then say I go in the bullets, for anyone that supports womens rights, equality, feminism etc, do you think this is a decent strategy or just basically copying and pasting the same keyword title into those 3 is better? thanks!

so i kinda figured out how to do this myself, and after all the hard woork wont let me publish,, grrrr eat!! what all that about ? sent them an email, think ill go upload another design to Redbubble,,, no dramas...LOl

I just got accepted for merch by Amazon , but i dont want to make a balls up of my first upoload, and wow!! a lot of info to take in on Amazon merch was just wondering about the decription section? is this not important? ie theresa lot you could put in there to get accross to your niche Audience?

tons of the listings he's looking at saying 'they do this even though amazon says not to' are not merch listings, so i'm not sure i see the point...

I have a question if you don't mind. I was just accepted after signing up for the invite first time a week ago. I was accepted while Merch by Amazon was down.

I was trying to figure out how this will work? I never had any designs up and right now have 7 designs ready to go under drafts.

Once the US is open, will I be able to upload all those drafts at once or it will be one design a day?

Should we work on a specific niche on our red bubble account or at the general store?

Always ALWAYS use title, both bullets (features) AND description.

Amazon searches title and bullets, Google searches title and descriptions. I think a few people use Google to search for shirts. Maybe a few. Just a tad few.

As for shirts with “men’s t-shirt”, “women’s t-shirt” in the title... those are usually shirts that were listed before Amazon updated the guidelines. Amazon automatically adds those to the title for us so no need to add them to the title or the titles will look whacked.

Titles will read like Bulldog Men’s T-Shirt T-Shirt, and, if you use Amazon’s bulk product lister to add a design to hoodies or popsockets, the title will read Bulldog Men’s T-Shirt Hoodie or Bulldog’s Men’s T-Shirt Popsocket. That will brutally wreck search results SEO.

Pro Tip: Long tail keywords are king. Always.

Then again, I’m only in Tier 8,000 so what do I know. Lolz.
